What are the Riglos Pants?
They are lightweight, stretchy trousers that provide a fantastic, comfortable option for climbers and non-climbers alike. Whether training in the bouldering gym, taking a light hike in the Peak District or relaxing with family, their versatile design serves all year round.
What are they made of?
The Riglos Pants comprise a quick-drying blend of recycled nylon and elastane with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent).
Recycled nylon feels smooth against the skin yet adds durability to survive scrapes on the wall. Elastane provides the stretch needed for comfort and enhanced freedom of movement, allowing you to reach for that next hold a little more easily.
The PFC-free DWR adds light water resistance but doesn't make these trousers completely waterproof. They'd offer the best protection in dry or showery conditions, but if you're out during a lengthy downpour, you'd end up with (as Mary Berry would say) a soggy bottom!
Being PFC-free, the finish on these pants avoids using harmful 'forever' chemicals that cause damage to our precious planet, giving these trousers some extra eco-friendly brownie points (especially when combined with the recycled nylon).
These trousers/materials are also bluesign® approved, meaning they're manufactured safely with regard to the environment, workers, and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
What are their features?
The elasticated waist features an internal drawcord, allowing you to cinch the waist without feeling restricted.
Two hand pockets and one patch pocket on the rear are ideal for storing small essentials like trail snacks, dog treats or keys. The hand pocket bags are made with lightweight mesh fabric, so when empty, they come in handy for drawing in a little extra ventilation to help regulate your temperature.
A concealed, zipped pocket for mobile phones sits close to the right-hand pocket, providing extra security when moving up or along the wall or walking along the trails.
Elastic drawcords on the bottom hem enable you to cinch in the material around chunky footwear or for climbing technical routes, ensuring that any excess fabric is tucked away so it won't catch on a hold or jagged piece of rock.
