The Nordisk Telemark 2 LW. One word, three letters, Wow! This is THE lightest tent in its class on the market! Weighing under a kilo at 950g! It packs down to a minuscule 12 x 41cm. Stupidly light for the size!
If you want to trim quite a few grams off your pack load for something like cycling round the country or a few days trekking then you’d be silly to look any further. The Telemark range from Nordisk is technically constructed using state-of-the-art fabrics and components, with a choice of carbon or aluminium poles, resulting in this ridiculously light tent.
The Telemark 2 is a little bit taller and a lot wider than the Telemark 1 and only weighs 120g more. So not that much more weight if you want that bit more extra space.
Don’t go thinking that on Nordisk’s quest for the lowest weight possible, that they have compromised on function or comfort. There is still plenty of room to sit up and store kit.
One of the cool features of this tent is, using the corner support poles; slot them all together to make a long pole. Using this pole the tent door can be converted into a little tarp like shelter to add space to the porch area.
This tent has a slightly different venting option. Found at the head of the tent in the centre of the front panel is a little toggle to cinch the panel up off the floor to allow for greater air flow.
