What is the Connect Adjust?
The Connect Adjust is a single-positioning lanyard for climbing and mountaineering that allows you to attach yourself to an anchor point. It's handy for belaying your climbing partner and works great for instructors spending a lot of time on the wall teaching clients.
What are its features?
This clever piece of kit features an adjustable, single lanyard that can extend from 15 to 95cm, meaning you can position yourself as close to or as further away from the wall as you need.
The ergonomics of the device make it easy to manipulate, allowing fast, precise adjustment. It's a great alternative to using clove hitches on carabiners to minimise faff time on the wall.
If you're wondering how it works, the device is generally used with a Spirit Screw-Lock-type locking carabiner and attaches to the belay loop on your harness with a simple girth hitch.
It's held in position with a rubber ring that facilitates clipping and uses a one-handed adjustment.
