What is the Compass Ranger?
The Ranger is a basic yet functional compass commonly used by hikers, mountaineers and backpackers. It has all the features you need to navigate your adventure without the extra fluff - a great starting point for those venturing further into old-school exploring and map reading.
What are its features?
Map measuring scales on the compass include mm and GPS scales 1.25 and 1.50.
The housing is rotatable and can be used with the Silva 1-2-3 System® for super easy navigation.
A magnifying lens creates optimum precision for map reading, and rubber grips offer more security to help you keep hold of the compass on the move or when it's wet.
The Ranger comes with a use-anywhere declination scale inside the capsule and luminous markings that enable you to navigate in the dark. It's made with robust, durable material that will easily survive in rugged environments, lasting years of adventures.
Thanks to the detachable distance lanyard (that also has scales to measure longer distances), you can keep the compass accessible at all times by wearing it around your neck or even hooking it onto a backpack or belt loop.
