The CampStove 2 is a warm, cosy fire, a phone/lantern/watch charger and a stove to cook your evening meal, all in one.
How does it work? Well, get ready for some nerdiness. Once you've added your sticks/pellets to the chamber and you've got a fire going, turn the CampStove on and the internal fan will begin to inject air into the chamber, improving combustion and creating a cleaner, more efficient burn (no smoke, basically!). A heat probe attached to the orange part of the stove captures waste heat and converts it into electricity via a thermoelectric generator. This powers a fan and sends electricity to the USB port, charging your phone, watch, headtorch or powerbank. Any excess power is stored in an internal battery so it's ready to use later.
So to put it simply, it works like a normal fire in the sense that you just pop your fuel in (in this case, wood/pellets), light it and it'll produce heat, but with the added benefit that you'll also get some electricity from it. Thanks to this techniness, it'll boil a litre of water in around 4.5 minutes and packs down to the size of a 900ml water bottle. An LED dashboard gives you real-time feedback on fire strength, power output and fan speed. If you'd like to change the speed of the internal fans, there are 4 settings.
