Consumer Contract Regulations (CCR)

What are the Consumer Contract Regulations?

Under the "Consumer Contract Regulations, you have the right to cancel an order for goods made at a distance. These rights start from the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

Your right to cancel

Your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

This 14 day period is the time you have to decide whether to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to actually send the goods back.

Your Right to a Refund under CCR

You may get a refund within 14 days of either, the trader getting the goods back, or you providing evidence of having returned the goods (for example, a proof of postage receipt from the post office), whichever is the sooner.

A deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop.

Refunding the cost of delivery

The trader has to refund the basic delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place, so if you opted for enhanced service e.g. guaranteed next day, it only has to refund the basic cost.

Exemptions

There are some circumstances where the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not give you a right to cancel. These include CDs, DVDs or software if you've broken the seal on the wrapping, perishable items and tailor-made or personalised items. They also include goods with a seal for health protection and hygiene reasons that have been broken or tampered with, e.g. Climbing Equipment and PPE.

My goods are broken

If you feel that your item is defective/broken/faulty and it is still under warranty, please contact our Customer Support team([email protected])with as much information as possible with regards to the fault, including photos if applicable.

We want to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, the first step for this is reducing our waste. Therefore, please note that we will always offer a professional repair in the first instance; if the product can be repaired.

This may involve your product being sent back to our suppliers or to a professional repair company. Please note that due tovaried procedures, warranty claims and repairs can take between 2 and 4 weeks to be concluded

AKU Men's Tribute III GTX Hiking Boots Brown

Season:AW26

Brand:Aku

Code:138.1-050

What are the AKU Tribute III GTX Hiking Boots?

The AKU Tribute III GTX are sturdy and versatile mid-cut hiking boots designed for light hiking across mixed and hilly terrain, offering a strong balance between comfort, stability and protection.

Built with a durable full-grain leather upper, a waterproof GORE-TEX® lining, and AKU’s Elica Natural Stride System, they are designed to support natural walking movement while reducing fatigue over longer distances.

With an injected PU midsole for cushioning and a Vibram® outsole for dependable traction, the Tribute III GTX are a reliable choice for walkers who want traditional leather durability combined with modern comfort technologies.

Best for

  • Light hiking
  • Hill walking
  • Mixed terrain trails
  • Countryside walking routes
  • Travel and everyday outdoor use
  • Walkers wanting supportive leather hiking boots

Materials & Construction

Upper — Full Grain Leather

The Tribute III GTX uses a full-grain leather upper, providing long-term durability and protection for regular hiking use across varied terrain.

Full-grain leather offers strong abrasion resistance and natural structure, helping maintain support over time while gradually adapting to the shape of the foot.

Lining — GORE-TEX® More Seasons

The Tribute III GTX features a GORE-TEX® More Seasons lining, designed to provide dependable waterproof protection while maintaining breathability across a wide range of walking conditions throughout the year.

The membrane contains billions of microscopic pores that are small enough to prevent rain and surface water from entering the boot, but large enough to allow moisture vapour from perspiration to escape. This helps keep feet dry from both external moisture and internal heat build-up during longer walks.

Because the More Seasons construction is designed for versatility rather than winter-specific insulation, it performs well across spring, summer and autumn hiking conditions, as well as milder winter use when paired with appropriate socks. It supports comfort during changing weather while maintaining the protection expected from a leather trekking boot.

Midsole — Injected PU Cushioning

The injected PU midsole provides stable cushioning and long-term support for walking on uneven ground.

This construction improves impact absorption and durability compared with lighter foam midsoles, making them well-suited to repeated use across mixed terrain.

Outsole — Vibram® Traction

The Tribute III GTX features a Vibram® outsole, designed to match the boot's shape and intended use.

Vibram outsoles are widely used in trekking footwear because they combine durable rubber compounds with terrain-appropriate tread patterns designed to maintain traction over time. On the Tribute III GTX, the outsole provides confident footing across dirt paths, rocky trails, and uneven terrain, while improving stability during longer walks.

Lasting Board — Medium Stiffness Nylon (6–4 mm)

A 6–4 mm nylon lasting board provides medium stiffness underfoot, improving stability when walking across uneven terrain while maintaining flexibility suitable for light hiking use.

Footbed — Custom Fit Soft

The Tribute III GTX features AKU’s Custom Fit Soft footbed, designed to improve step-in comfort and provide supportive cushioning during longer walks on mixed terrain.

The footbed helps distribute pressure more evenly across the foot while working with the injected PU midsole and Elica Natural Stride System to support a stable and comfortable walking motion. Its removable construction also allows the fit to be adjusted if required, making it easy to replace with alternative insoles or orthotics depending on personal preference.

Features and Technologies

Elica Natural Stride System

The Tribute III GTX features AKU’s Elica Natural Stride System, an integrated construction combining the lasting board, midsole and outsole to follow the anatomical shape of the foot.

This system supports natural heel-to-toe movement and adapts to typical walking foot positioning, helping reduce impact and strain during longer hikes on uneven ground.

Anatomical Fit Construction

The boot uses an anatomical wrap-around fit designed specifically for trekking footwear.

This construction improves stability and encourages a more efficient walking motion, particularly on mountain trails and rough terrain.

Injected Construction Process (INJ)

The Tribute III GTX features AKU's injection-moulded construction, in which the midsole is directly bonded to the upper during manufacturing, creating a precise, durable connection between the boot's structural components.

This construction improves overall stability and helps maintain the boot's shape over time compared with traditional glued constructions. It also supports long-term cushioning performance and reliability during repeated hiking, making the boot well-suited to regular walking on mixed and uneven terrain.
