DPD Returns Portal

We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. We offer a 90-day returns period from the date of purchase and aim to process all returns within 48 working hours of receipt. During exceptionally busy periods, returns may take up to 7 working days to be processed.

We do not offer a free returns service. If using the DPD Returns Portal, a charge of £5 will be deducted from your refund when processed. Returns from Highlands and Islands using the DPD Returns Portal will deduct £15.50 from the order refund. Large DPD returns will have £6 deducted from their refund. (Specifications are over 5kg, and over Length of 30cm x width of 30cm and height of 10cm). If customers are returning items using their own postal service, and our returns form, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT - due to a technical issue with YEEP lockers, we are currently advising customers not to use them and to drop parcels off at a DPD Pickup Shop. Using a YEEP locker may significantly delay your parcel being returned to us and your refund being issued.

Under the "Consumer Contract Regulations, you have the right to cancel an order for goods made at a distance. These rights start from the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

The Glacium Hoodie is a reassuringly robust technical down jacket designed for reliable warmth and protection in cold mountain environments, whether for winter belaying, mountaineering, or alpine climbing.

Built with Montane's Mountain Fit for technical layering, it combines 700+FP ExpeDRY™ duck down with a PERTEX® Quantum Pro for reliable cold-weather protection in the mountains.

Materials & Technology

EXPE DRY® 700 Fill Power Duck Down

For warmth, Montane has used 230g of ExpeDRY™ 90/10 duck down for an exceptional warmth-to-weight ratio. The duck down has a fill power of 700+ and is RDS and Track my Down™ certified, reassuring you that it has come from responsible, ethical sources.

It's well known that down and water don't mix well, so to combat this, the down is treated with a specialised process called ExpeDRY™. ExpeDRY™ by Allied Feather is an innovative, chemical-free, non-toxic alternative to hydrophobic-treated down. ExpeDRY™ uses chemical-free gases to permanently bond non-toxic gold particles to the individual down clusters, aiding the evaporation of water molecules, causing the down to dry faster and stay dry in high humidity and extreme conditions. This highly effective ability to move moisture helps the down retain maximum loft (fluffiness) and deal with various sources of moisture such as rain, snow and sweat, making it ideal for challenging mountain environments.

PERTEX® Quantum Pro Outer with Reinforcements

The outer of the jacket is constructed from 30D PERTEX® Quantum Pro ripstop with 50D reinforcements in high wear areas.

PERTEX® Quantum Pro is made from recycled nylon and features a tightly woven construction that helps maximise the loft and efficiency of the down insulation while providing excellent wind resistance and durability, whilst still being lightweight and soft. They are designed to perfectly balance wind resistance and breathability, providing the ultimate performance for challenging mountain missions.

The Pertex® Quantum Pro outer features a microporous, weather-resistant coating to help protect against light rain and snow, whilst a non-fluorocarbon DWR (durable water repellent) finish encourages moisture to bead and roll off the fabric, making the jacket more suitable for use in cold or damp environments, where keeping the insulation warm and dry is crucial.

PEAQ Recycled Lining

Montane has lined the jacket with lightweight 20D PEAQ recycled nylon with a PFC/PFAS-Free DWR (durable water repellent), which helps protect the inside of the jacket from absorbing moisture. PEAQ Down lining uses bluesign® approved recycled nylon plain weave, which is durable and abrasion-resistant yet lightweight. The lining feels soft, breathable and smooth, improving comfort when layering and helping to regulate temperature during intense activity.

Mountain Hood

A cosy, helmet-compatible hood provides essential shelter from cold, exposed conditions. The hood features Montane's PIVOT 2 hood system, which can be adjusted with one hand to provide independent aperture and crown adjustment for a secure fit that naturally moves with your head, improving visibility in poor conditions.

Reinforced High-Wear Areas

Additional 50D PERTEX® Quantum Pro reinforcement panels are positioned across key high-wear zones to improve the jacket's durability in areas exposed to repeated abrasion. This helps make the jacket more resilient for technical mountain use whilst also helping extend its lifespan and protect the down insulation beneath.

Harness Compatible Pocket Layout

For storage, you'll find two YKK VISLON® NATULON® recycled zipped hand pockets and two generous zipped, insulated chest pockets that offer space for various quick-access essentials, such as snacks, energy gels and a GPS device, mobile phone and small guide books.

The pockets have been strategically placed to ensure they stay functional and accessible when wearing a climbing harness or rucksack hipbelt.

There is also an internal self-fabric stash pocket that's ideal for keeping spare gloves, a buff, and other mountain essentials close to hand.

Hi Loft Baffle Construction

The jacket features a wide baffle construction, designed to maximise the loft of the down insulation, whilst helping to reduce any cold spots across the jacket for maximum thermal efficiency.

Minimal offset seams help improve the jacket's overall durability and help minimise unnecessary weight, whilst also enhancing comfort during prolonged use.

Two-way YKK VISLON® NATULON® recycled Zip

The jacket is fastened with a two-way lightweight YKK VISLON® NATULON® recycled front zip, for low-bulk, easy fastening. The zip features an insulated front placket to help reduce heat loss through and prevent cold winds from entering the jacket.

Adjustable Hem

The jacket features an elasticated, adjustable bottom hem that lets you cinch it in over various layers to improve warmth retention by helping seal out cold air in exposed conditions.
