What is the Abisko Hike Jacket?
The Abisko Hike is a lightweight jacket designed to give you extra protection from the elements in hotter climates. It's the ideal jacket for trekking and travelling in warm yet unpredictable weather and has a highly packable construction, meaning it'll fit nicely into a backpack without taking up excessive space.
What is it made of?
This garment is made using G1000® Air Stretch, one of Fjallraven's cornerstone materials which comprises recycled polyester and organic cotton.
It has an incredibly smooth finish that is pleasant against the skin, whilst being light and airy to help regulate temperature. The fabric's mechanical stretch improves freedom of movement for navigating tricky terrain and steep ascents while enhancing comfort for everyday wear.
G1000® materials can be adapted to different personal preferences or climatic conditions using Greenland Wax. The wax allows you to customise the fabric's properties, such as wind and water resistance and breathability.

What are its features?
This product has a clever stow-away hood that can tuck into the collar to keep it from flapping around in the wind when not in use.
Elastic edging around the cuffs keeps the material close to the skin to retain heat, optimise protection and improve comfort. It also comes in handy when wearing gloves, layers or a watch, as the stretch stops them from feeling tight and uncomfortable.
There are two zippered hand pockets and two top-loaded pockets - one with a zip fastening and one with a welt pocket opening, giving you various storage options for essential accessories and snacks.
A drawcord adjustment at the hem cinches in dead space and helps keep the wind out in higher or more exposed environments.
All of this goodness packs into the jacket's very own pocket, making it portable enough for on-the-go action and multi-day adventures, alongside casual use at home or in your local countryside.
