90-day returns period

DPD Returns Portal
We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. We offer a 90-day returns period from the date of purchase and aim to process all returns within 48 working hours of receipt. During exceptionally busy periods, returns may take up to 7 working days to be processed.

We do not offer a free returns service. If using the DPD Returns Portal, a charge of £5 will be deducted from your refund when processed. Returns from Highlands and Islands using theDPD Returns Portalwill deduct £15.50 from the order refund. Large DPD returns will have £6 deducted from their refund. (Specifications are over 5kg, and over Length of 30cm x width of 30cm and height of 10cm). If customers are returning items using their own postal service, and our returns form, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

We are not liable for delays once an order has been dispatched. However, we will always work with the courier to assist in resolving any delivery issues where possible.

  • Appropriately package your item in protective packaging, failure to do so will invalidate your rights to a full refund or return (including footwear boxes which can be damaged in transit/customer care if not protected)

If you feel that your item is defective/broken/faulty and it is still under warranty, please contact our Customer Support team ([email protected]) with as much information as possible with regards to the fault, including photos if applicable.

In return, they will supply you with a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN), a Returns Form and a FREE postage label. Please complete the returns form with as much detail as possible and include it with your item.

We cannot make any decisions before inspecting any claim. Should the item be found genuinely faulty, we aim to reach a fair and agreed solution, which may be a refund, a replacement or a professional repair.

We do not offer exchanges. Instead we ask you kindly to complete a new order for the desired replacement and return the unwanted Good(s) for a refund. We acknowledge that this might seem more complicated, we can assure you it is by far the most efficient and fastest way to ensure that you receive the goods you require.

Any returns sent back requesting an exchange will be refunded in line with our returns process.

You can exchange internet purchases at the Trekitt Service Centre in Hereford, to speed things along please remember to present the sales invoice supplied by us in respect of such Goods as proof of purchase. Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your account within 3 to 5 working days, depending on how your card provider processes refunds.

Refunds can only be made to the original payment method and are normally processed within 2 working days, however, during busy periods they can take up to 7 days.

Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your PayPal account that same day.

We want to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, the first step for this is reducing our waste. Therefore, please note that we will always offer a professional repair in the first instance; if the product can be repaired.

This may involve your product being sent back to our suppliers or to a professional repair company. Please note that due tovaried procedures, warranty claims and repairs can take between 2 and 4 weeks to be concluded

What is the Khamsin Lite Hoodie?

The Khamsin Lite Hoodie is a lightweight, insulated softshell jacket designed for ample warmth and breathability when you're moving fast in the mountains. It's built for hikers, trekkers, trail runners and mountaineers who need a lightweight, insulating layer that effectively manages moisture and warmth on challenging trails.

Its combination of performance materials makes it ideal for various high-output activities in cold climates, and can be worn as an outer layer in dry conditions or beneath a waterproof shell when the weather's not playing ball.

Materials & Technology

AEROFYLTE Lite WR Softshell Fabric

The outer of the jacket is made from Montane's AEROFYLTE Lite WR fabric, which is a lightweight two-way stretch softshell material designed to balance durability, breathability and weather resistance. It's made from a combination of recycled nylon with elastane, in a tightly woven plain weave structure, that provides excellent levels of abrasion resistance and durability while remaining flexible and comfortable during movement. The material meets both Oeko-Tex® and Bluesign® certification standards.

The fabric is finished with a non-fluorocarbon DWR (durable water repellent) coating that encourages light rain or snow to bead off the fabric, without the use of harmful forever chemicals. However, please note this does not make the jacket waterproof.

OCTA® Insulation

Inside the jacket, Montane has used OCTA® 100 insulation, which is a lightweight, hi-loft synthetic fleece insulation designed for breathable warmth when moving fast on the trail. OCTA® 100 is made from 100% recycled polyester and uses a unique fibre construction with a distinctive cross-section with eight projections aligned in a radial pattern, surrounding a hollow fibre. Its innovative construction makes the fabric super light, quick drying, highly breathable and extremely warm, to help regulate temperature during intense activity while maintaining warmth in colder conditions without overheating. This innovative insulation also meets Oeko-Tex® certification standards.

Montane has used the OCTA® 100 insulation in a clever body-mapped construction to maximise breathable performance providing warmth in key areas and keeping bulk to a minimum.

Features and Functionality

Lightweight Insulated Mountain Hood

The low-profile hood is designed to sit comfortably under a climbing helmet to provide warmth and protection in exposed conditions. Elastic trims around the edge of the hood help maintain a secure fit while keeping bulk low.

Breathable Body-Mapped Construction

Montane has used a combination of stretch softshell fabric and breathable OCTA® insulation in a body-mapped construction to allow the jacket to regulate temperature effectively when the trail gets tough. This helps to prevent you from overheating on steep ascents while still providing ample warmth when your activity levels drop.

Pack and Harness Compatible Storage

For storage, you'll find two zipped hand pockets and a bonded chest pocket for quick access to essentials such as a mobile phone, GPS device, gloves and snacks. The hand pockets are positioned to remain accessible when wearing a climbing harness or backpack hip belt, ensuring they stay functional, whatever the adventure.

Recycled YKK NATULON® Zips

The jacket is fastened with a YKK NATULON® recycled front zip that provides reliable performance while reducing environmental impact. The full-length zip allows quick ventilation to help regulate temperature, should you start to warm up on steep ascents.

Stretch Construction for Dynamic Movement

The Khamsin Lite's stretch fabric construction and articulated design provide an excellent range of movement for hiking with poles, reaching up high or moving fast in the mountains. Montane has used minimal seams throughout to reduce bulk and improve comfort when wearing a backpack or running vest.
