What is the Wilda GTX Parka?
It's a waterproof Gore-Tex® parka that is versatile enough to be worn hiking in the mountains, hill walking, or even around town, thanks to its fashionable design and longer length.
What is it made of?
This jacket uses a combination of two-layer Gore-Tex® and Haglofs' own Climatic™ Rugged.
The two-layer Gore-tex® offers maximum waterproof protection and is made from 100% recycled polyester. It's lightweight, low in bulk and durable enough to withstand abrasion from rock and rough surfaces.
Climatic™ Rugged is a four-way stretch fabric that provides excellent freedom of movement for comfort and flexibility. It's constructed with a double weave and soft backing that feels smooth against the skin and developed to withstand a beating in tough terrain.
The face of the material is treated with a fluorocarbon-free DWR (durable water repellent) for added water resistance with lesser environmental impact than conventional methods.
What are its features?
The overall design of the Wilda GTX Parka is minimal and feminine, making it perfect for trail-to-town activities. It has a generous, elasticated hood that feels cosy over a beanie or hoody, providing fantastic shielding from changeable weather.
The waist is adjustable, allowing you to create a more tailored, flattering fit if you wish. At the front, a two-way zip gives you the option for extra ventilation if you're working up a sweat out on the hill and improves freedom of movement around the legs for steep inclines.
Two zippered front pockets are ideal for hill snacks, doggy bags or a mobile phone, while the zippered internal pocket keeps valuables like your car keys or purse safe.
Cuffs are elasticated, allowing you to fit them around chunky gloves or mitts while retaining heat effectively.
To finish the design, Haglofs has added a reflective logo on the lower back to improve visibility if you're exploring after hours or in poor conditions.
