Mammut Neon Rope Bag Black

Season:2024S C

Brand:Mammut

Code:2050-00042-0001

What is the Neon Rope Bag?

It's a spacious kit bag for rock climbers, whether training outside or in the gym. The Neon Rope Bag is big enough to accommodate 80 metres of rope, climbing shoes and a chalk bag, making it easy to keep your gear tidy on the move.

What is it made of?

The main body of the bag is made from 840D nylon, which is incredibly durable and thick (with emphasis on the word 'incredibly'!). It can easily endure continuous bumps and scrapes in rugged terrain and on jagged rocks, making it perfect for heading to the local crag during summer. Not only that, it would work just as well for regular training in the gym, too.

The tarp is comprised of 100% recycled polyester, which is lightweight and durable. Being recycled offers a much better alternative to using raw materials, as it doesn't require new materials to be produced and sourced using fossil fuels. It also saves material waste from reaching landfills - win, win!

Materials are treated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent), which encourages light rain, showers and drink spills to bead off the surface instead of soaking in.

If you were wondering, PFCs (perfluorinated chemicals), previously used in DWR treatments, can't 'break down', so once they reach nature (usually via water waste from factories), they stay in the environment and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. PFCs are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect reproduction and hormone production in mammals. For these reasons, many brands are now using PFC-free alternatives to reduce the impact manufacturing has on our beautiful planet without compromising performance.

Mammut also works with FairWear to ensure safe, ethical working conditions in their factories, helping to protect workers' rights and being considerate and responsible with their processes.

What are its features?

The main compartment has plenty of room for climbing rope (up to 80 metres of it), shoes and a chalk bag. You can secure your belongings inside using the easy drawstring closure system.

If you're rushing for a train or are late to the crag, there's a grab handle on the bag for quick, easy pick-ups. Alternatively, the shoulder straps allow you to wear this bag like a backpack; each strap is adjustable, allowing you to get the perfect fit every time.

Colour-coded tie-in loops also make tie-ins quick and easy so you can get on with your activity with minimum faff.

Features:

  • Space for 80-metre rope, shoes, and chalk bag
  • Grab handle
  • Drawstring closure system
  • Two color-coded tie-in loops
  • Length-adjustable shoulder straps
  • PFC-free DWR treatment
