What is the Kanken Weekender?

The Kanken Weekender Bag is the classic Fjallraven Kanken's bigger sibling. It provides 30 litres of storage that you can wear three different ways for adventures when your classic Kanken backpack just isn't enough, whether heading on holiday, taking a weekend city break or even commuting to work.

What is it made of?

This bag is made from PU-laminated Vinylon F (a long-time Fjallraven favourite), a synthetic fibre renowned for being used on the classic Kanken backpacks that we all know and love (and the Kajka trekking pack, too!).

With its proven durability and abrasion resistance, this weekend bag is guaranteed to last you for years to come, no matter where you take it or how often you use it. The PU-lamination provides lasting weather resistance, though there are no taped seams or zips, meaning this bag isn't 100% waterproof and may leak if left out in the rain or submerged in water.

The low-maintenance material is easy to take care of, so if something leaks inside or it's spent too much time being lugged around airports and bus stations, you can wash it and have it looking fresh in no time.

What are its features?

One of the handiest features of the Kanken Weekender is the three-way carry configuration. To use it as a hold-all bag, you can use the heavy-duty grab handles at the top to carry it by hand - a small buttoned loop on these handles helps to keep them in place for added convenience.

Padded shoulder straps and a padded back panel allow you to turn the bag on its side and wear it as a backpack for hands-free carry. If you'd prefer to carry the bag over your shoulder, you also get a webbing strap included for attaching to the loops at each end.

For organisation, there's a zipped front pocket with an internal key hook, a large, collapsible front compartment and two smaller zipped pockets for belongings such as snacks, stationery, passports, earphones etc.

A large main compartment also provides plenty of room for bulkier belongings. It comes with a padded sleeve to keep your laptop safe when commuting and travelling, with a press button closure to secure the laptop inside.
