What is the Superalloy 2P?
It's a semi-freestanding, two-person tent designed with a full feature set and lightweight construction for hiking, backpacking, wild camping and general overnight stays in the wild.
What is it made of?
Fly: The flysheet is made with lightweight nylon ripstop, which is incredibly durable and can withstand abrasion in tougher terrain. It has a 1200mm siliconised polyurethane coating to enhance weather and UV resistance, giving you complete waterproofness for wet weather and added protection in exposed, sunny climates. Finished with reflective detailing, it also gives you extra visibility after dark.
Floor: A lightweight yet robust polyester ripstop is used at the tent's base to keep bulk and weight low. This material also has a siliconised PU coating, but this time with a waterproofness of 1500mm to ensure it doesn't become damp on wet ground. Seams are taped to ensure no water leaks through the stitching, and the base is constructed in a bathtub shape to raise seams away from the floor to prevent flooding.
Mesh: The inner canopy comprises 15D nylon No-See-Um mesh, an incredibly light, breathable mesh designed to keep creepy crawlies at bay. Though light, being nylon means it's incredibly tough and can withstand regular use in varied terrain without easily ripping or forming holes.
Poles: Poles are made of aluminium, a metal with a great strength-to-weight ratio, offering a reliable structure without adding excessive grams to your load.
What are its features?
Entry: There are two doors for enhanced accessibility, ensuring you don't need to wake your camping partner up when taking a midnight trip to the loo, and two vestibules to give you maximum room for keeping gear out of the way.
Space: The Superalloy 2P is designed for two people, yet also makes a nice, roomy tent for solo adventures if you don't mind carrying a little extra bulk. Vertical walls create more headroom for taller users, plus they come in handy when you're trying to get changed or want to sit up and make a bit of brekkie when the weather's not playing ball. Strategic clip placement provides a larger interior volume for added comfort.
Storage: The two vestibules are perfect for storing bulky gear and backpacks without using precious space inside the tent. You also have an interior headlamp pocket for stowing your headtorch above to light the area, which is ideal for reading a book or simply needing extra visibility after dark.
Ventilation: Allocated vents on the flysheet help to maximise airflow for humid conditions while minimising condensation build-up as you catch a well-earned night's rest. Alternatively, you could leave a door open (or both!) in drier weather for maximum temperature regulation.
Guylines, attachments and pegs: Clips and poles are colour coded for easy set-up, creating a semi-freestanding design for three-season use.
Optional extras: To increase the longevity of your tent, we would recommend purchasing a Superalloy 2P footprint to protect the base of the tent from general wear and tear; please note the footprint isn't included when purchasing this product. It must be bought separately.
