What is the High Route 3000?
The High Route is an ultra-lightweight tent that uses trekking poles (poles not included) in its construction rather than traditional tent poles. This makes it suitable as either a tent or a tarp when camping in warmer, drier conditions.
What is it made of?
The flysheet is made from a 20D silicone-coated nylon with a hydrostatic head of 3000mm, making the tent extremely lightweight yet fully waterproof. The floor uses a similar 30D silicone-coated nylon for a little extra durability and protection. The inner is made from a mixture of nylon and mesh, providing additional airflow.
What are its features?
Thanks to its trekking pole set up, the walls are near enough vertical, meaning you've got tonnes of interior space. This also means there are no sleeves to pull poles out from, so it's quick to collapse when you're finished with it. While we're talking about collapsing it, the High Route will pack down to the same size as a 1L water bottle.
If the weather permits, you can remove the flysheet entirely and camp with just the inner acting as a bug shelter. In less favourable conditions, you can remove the inner and just use the flysheet on its own — this gives you weather protection with reduced weight for ultra-minimalist camping.
