This incredible tent is one of the lighest yet most spacious shelters in existence, weighing just 500g and packing down to a miniscule 30cm long by 10cm wide. Terra Nova have always been pioneers in lightweight shelters, from the world record breaking Laser Ultra 1, to this super lightweight and easy to set up shelter. The key to the super lightweight design is Terra Nova's ultra lightweight 7 denier nylon outer fabric which reduces the weight substantially but still provides enough durability for real life use. Further reducing weight is a single DAC aluminium pole and titanium pegs which weigh just 1g each. The tunnel shape of this shelter ensures you have the maximum amount of room inside without adding excessive weight with additional poles or fabric.
You may be sceptical that a tent this lightweight will reduce the livable space inside, however the height of the inner is a modest 82cm, allowing most users to sit comfortably upright without feeling too cramped or restricted. A small front porch area can house extra kit, boots or wet kit, while a full mesh door provides excellent ventilation in hotter climates. If you require further ventilation, the inner can be pitched on it's own without the flysheet, and the flysheet can also be pitched on it's own to reduce weight even further.
One brilliant aspect of this tent is the ridiculous pack size. Packing down to just 30cm x 10cm, it'll slip easily into a rucksack pocket, into a medium sized drybag or stuffed into it's compression bag.
