What is the Laser Lite 1?
It's a lightweight, compact one-person tent ideal for wild camping, trekking, and multi-hiking from spring through autumn. With superb eco-credentials, it uses Terra Nova's revolutionary recycled TriPlex™ fabric technology for highly packable performance.
What is it made from?
Fly: The flysheet uses Terra Nova's revolutionary TriPlex™ fabric for excellent water resistance, durability and resistance to stretch when wet. TriPlex™ is a triple ripstop polyester and nylon weave fabric which is lightweight, stable and highly durable. The fabric is made from recycled materials sourced from post-consumer plastic bottles and PFC-free fibres. It's also solution-dyed to further add to this material's excellent eco-credentials.
The flysheet is fully encased with a high-pressure silicone coating on both sides for excellent water resistance, which eliminates the need for traditional water-repellant treatments that can contain harmful forever chemicals. This clever silicone coating delivers a reliable hydrostatic head rating of 3,000mm to ensure you stay nice and dry in your tent when the weather’s not playing ball.
Inner: The tent's inner is created from a 10D ripstop fabric made from recycled nylon. This material is lightweight and highly durable. It helps keep the tent's overall weight and pack size bulk to a minimum without compromising on performance.
Floor: The tent's base uses the same recycled nylon ripstop fabric as the inner tent, except this section is 20D and is enhanced with a silicone/ PU coating for added water resistance to help stop water ingress inside the tent. This material boasts a hydrostatic head rating of 5,000 mm, making it more than adequate for camping in various weather conditions.
Poles: The Lazer Lite 1 uses a combination of an 8.7mm DAC NFL main pole and 7mm TN Reflex Alloy end poles. Both poles are strong and stable with low weight to ensure they don't add too much weight to your trekking pack.
What are its features?
Entry: The tent features a single entry point that can be neatly rolled away for easy access in an out of the tent. The inner tent features a half mesh, half solid door for good airflow throughout the night to help keep condensation levels in the tent to a minimum.
Space: The Laser Lite 1 tent offers space for two people to sleep top-to-tail, whilst a single vestibule provides ample space for storing bulky items and wet gear. The sleeping compartment is tapered at either end to help keep weight and pack size to a minimum, whilst a head height of 82cm at its peak offers room for relaxing in the evenings.
Guys, Attachments & Pegs: Reflective Dyneema® guylines increase visibility in low light and help to prevent literal night-time trips.
A combination of Y-shaped Terra Firma Mini pegs and V-shaped alloy pegs keeps the tent firmly planted to the floor and offers various pitching options on different terrains.
