What is it made from?
The Ascendor Pro Hoody boasts a body-mapped construction, utilising Thermic™ Pro Hybrid Fleece for warmth where it's needed and stretchy softshell material for low-bulk breathability and wind resistance.
Part of Rab's Thermic™ performance fleece fabrics, Thermic™ Pro Hybrid Fleece, utilises a new method of fleece construction to create a soft gridded fleece with advanced levels of warmth, wind resistance, and durability. This material is warm, lightweight, moisture-wicking, quick-drying and highly comfortable to wear, making it a fantastic choice for challenging missions in cold climates when temperature regulation and moisture management are critical.
The softshell fabric panels are strategically placed across the back torso and hood, to deliver the optimal balance of wind resistance and breathability, keeping you comfortable as you tackle challenging vertical routes. This material comprises recycled polyamide and elastane, and is remarkably light and stretchy, providing unhindered movement, essential for reaching tricky holds and navigating challenging terrain.

A low-profile hood seamlessly integrates underneath a helmet, offering essential protection on exposed climbs. Its elasticated edges ensure a secure and comfortable fit, staying firmly in place without obstructing your field of vision on challenging routes.
The hoody features a simple YKK® VISLON® front zip with a chin guard for comfort around the face and mitt-friendly pullers to ensure easy operation with gloved hands.
Two YKK® zipped A-line chest pockets offer secure storage for essentials and are strategically positioned to remain accessible whilst wearing a climbing harness.
Adaptable elasticated cuffs provide a snug fit over gloves or mitts, effectively sealing out the elements for lasting comfort. The single-sided rear hem adjustment allows for quick, one-handed cinching, enabling you to seal out cold drafts on the move without having to stop and faff.
The Ascendor Pro is completed with Rab's Regular fit to offer a balance of freedom of movement and comfortable layering for a wide range of activities across the seasons, making this a highly versatile midlayer.
