What is the Ergo Grip Alpha?
These gloves are ideal for mountaineering when you need maximum protection and durability. They're made with a combination of natural and synthetic materials for optimum performance and breathability, with weatherproofing for all-season suitability.
What are they made of?
The backhand comprises Hestra dobby polyester melange, a three-layer woven material made using polyester and elastane blend, treated with a fluorocarbon-free Rudolph Bionic Eco DWR (durable water repellent). The material itself is waterproof, windproof, lightweight and stretchy for ample freedom of movement and provides good breathability for enhanced temperature regulation.
Palms integrate army goat leather patches for reinforcement where it's needed most. Goat leather is surprisingly more supple than standard leather, providing incredible durability and softness. It's impregnated with a water-resistant treatment for increased weather protection, helping to keep snow and water at bay.
Merino wool terry knit lining enhances temperature regulation naturally and feels soft on the skin. If you want to save weight and bulk or use the liners alone at basecamp or when back on ground level, you can remove it from the shell to create two versatile accessories.
What are their features?
Ergo Grip® technology allows different levels of pre-curved fingers to the gloves for optimal grip and performance, creating a closer fit around the palm and minimising excess material for ultimate precision and handling.
Pullers at the cuffs and elasticated wrists allow easy use and additional comfort whilst improving mobility for technical manoeuvres.
