What are the Fall Line Gloves?
Good question! They're durable, warm gloves primarily designed for skiing and snowboarding. The Fall Line Gloves provide a fantastic amount of warmth and protection for long days in the mountains and multi-day alpine adventures.
What are they made of?
The outer of these gloves use impregnated cowhide leather which is incredibly durable and provides a fantastic level of protection for rugged mountain terrain. It's windproof and water resistant (although not waterproof), so if you take a tumble in some powder or get caught in a light snow shower, your hands will stay dry and cosy. Cuffs are constructed using neoprene to give them a smoother finish and allow them to sit underneath a jacket comfortably.
A blend of brushed polyester and Bemberg lines the inside, which feels lovely and soft against the skin - rather luxurious when you're out in freezing temperatures! It's light and flexible, so it won't feel too bulky or restrict movement, meaning you can still have enough dexterity to handle kit or ski poles.
They are insulated with synthetic G-Loft insulation made from thin polyester fibres. G-Loft is exceptional at retaining heat, even in wet conditions, unlike down. Though warm, it's still highly breathable and quick drying, which will help regulate temperature and prevent moisture from building up inside and leaving your palms clammy.
What are the features?
The outseams of these gloves enhance comfort and allow a tighter pole grip. They have a wrist strap to help prevent you from losing a glove or dropping them when using your mobile phone or a GPS device.
The Fall Line Gloves also come with a carabiner, meaning you could attach your gloves to a kit bag, backpack or jacket when they're not worn.
You can remove the lining if you want to reduce the warmth or bulk, giving you the versatility to suit a range of activities and conditions or for those counting every gram of weight.
