What is the Citadel Hat?
It's a warm, protective, weather-resistant hat designed for adventures in freezing temperatures and challenging, wintry conditions.
What is it made of?
This hat is primarily made with Gore-Tex® Windstopper®. Gore-Tex® Windstopper® is designed to provide complete windproof protection. Though a Gore-Tex® product, this one isn't waterproof. However, it is water resistant, meaning it will keep you dry in light rain and showers. It's the integrated membrane that blocks the wind, helping to increase comfort and heat retention. Gore-Tex® Windstopper® also has breathable, moisture-wicking properties, creating a permeable layer for sweat to escape through the membrane and wick away, preventing any build-up inside.
A super cosy fibre-pile lining sits on the inside, which feels incredibly soft against the skin and provides that little bit of TLC often needed during big mountain adventures - it's the little things, aye?!

Taped seams enhance weather-resistant protection by ensuring that no rain or snow can seem through the seams of this hat.
The short peak also helps to protect the face from rain or snow without hindering peripheral vision, and the pile-lined ear flaps protect the ears from biting winds.
An elasticated rear helps the hat adapt to different head shapes, while an elasticated chin strap secures the hat in place without feeling uncomfortable or restrictive. You secure this strap with a press stud closure, which is reliable and easy to use, even with gloves.
