FUNCTIONAL HYBRID CONSTRUCTION WITH FJALLRAVEN'S G-1000® LITE STRETCH: The Abisko Hybrid Trail Trousers masterfully blend comfort and performance. Employing Fjallraven's G-1000® Lite Stretch, a durable yet flexible recycled polyester and cotton fabric, across the front of the trousers, they ensure unhindered movement over various terrain. Complemented by a technical stretch fabric to the rear, these trousers deliver a streamlined, protective and exceptionally comfortable outdoor experience.
What are the Abisko Hybrid Trail Trousers?
They're versatile and highly comfortable trekking trousers with excellent ventilation and freedom of movement for various year-round outdoor activities. Whether hiking in the Lake District, trekking in Scotland or foraging for mushrooms in woodlands.
What are they made from?
The Abisko Hybrid Trail Trousers are built from a combination of Fjallraven's own G1000 Lite Stretch and a technical stretch fabric. This combination of materials results in a highly comfortable pair of trousers that balance freedom of movement, bulk, and protection from the elements.
The front of the trousers are constructed from Fjallraven's own G1000 Lite Stretch, which comprises recycled polyester, virgin polyester and cotton. G1000 Lite Stretch offers exceptional flexibility whilst still being durable enough to deal with rough outdoor terrain. Like Fjallraven's other G1000® materials, these front panels can be adapted to suit different personal preferences or climatic conditions using Greenland Wax, which allows you to customise the fabric's properties, such as wind and water resistance and breathability.
Greenland Wax is easy to apply - you can literally do it anywhere! If you'd like to learn more about how to apply it correctly, check out our short YouTube tutorial by clicking here.
The back of the trousers uses a soft, technical stretch fabric, which compromises recycled polyamide and elastane for an excellent range of movement and flex. The recycled polyamide yarns help transport away moisture and dries quickly, handy if you get caught in a light rain shower, whilst the elastane gives the fabric a robust stretch for improved comfort and freedom of movement.
What are their features?
The trousers feature a soft, part-elasticated waistband for comfort when bending down or stretching. The waistband features a simple zippered fly and button closure and belt loops, so you can easily add a belt should you need to tailor the fit around the waist.
Two side ventilation zips allow you to easily increase the air flow throughout the trousers to help you cool down if you start to work up a sweat when the trail gets tough.
For storage, you'll find two open hand pockets and two buttoned leg pockets, one of which is zipped for extra security. They provide ample space for stowing essentials such as a mobile phone, GPS device, trail snacks and small tools.
