What are the Tenacity Pants?
They're stretchy outdoor trousers designed for mountain walking, hiking and backpacking. The Tenacity Pants are extremely durable and provide fantastic protection against the elements for more exposed routes whilst comfy enough to wear for longer periods if you're spending multiple days away.
What are they made of?
These trousers are made with Granite Stretch. Granite Stretch is highly abrasion and wind resistant, providing reliable protection against the elements and your surroundings. As you may have guessed, Granite Stretch is super stretchy, making it ideal for steep ascents or more technical scrambles where you need a higher range of movement. It feels smooth against the skin and comfortable enough to wear for longer periods or multi-day trips.
The material is coated with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent), which enhances water resistance without using chemicals that are harsh to the environment.
What are their features?
The integrated webbing belt helps to keep the waistband in place and ensures you won't end up with your kecks around your ankles. At the front, the zipped fly helps to keep your crown jewels inside your pants yet makes it easy to answer the call of nature when needed.
Two mesh pockets are ideal for storing small possessions yet double up nicely as extra ventilation if you're working up a sweat - simply leave them unzipped to allow airflow through the mesh bags.
You've also got a front thigh pocket and a rear pocket that work better for bulkier items such as a mobile phone, wallet or GPS as it keeps them out of your way, making sure they don't hinder your movement if you're stepping up high.
Finally, zipped volume adjusters on the lower legs give you the option to cinch in dead space if your trouser leg is flapping in the wind or getting caught on rocks or crampons.
