What are the Lhotse Pants?
The Lhotse Pants are probably some of the best UK mountain trousers available today. Designed specifically for the worst conditions and made using the best Gore-Tex Pro fabrics, these tough and reliable trousers will shrug off the worst of the weather and handle the rigours of the gnarliest mountaineering adventures.
What are they made of?
The Lhotse Pants are made using a 3-layer Gore-Tex Pro 80D fabric throughout. The Gore-Tex Pro membrane provides total waterproof and windproof protection, while the 80D nylon outer acts as a suit of armour. Mountain Equipment use the most breathable variant of this membrane to ensure you stay dry from the outside as well as the inside. The outer fabric also features a durable water repellent coating for added protection. The kick strips are reinforced with an even tougher material to deal with crampon strikes and general boot abrasion.
What are the features?
3/4 length side zips allow you to easily get in and out of the trousers, while an integrated belt gives you the option to fine-tune the fit. Brace attachment points allow you to attach braces for greater security. Two pockets with water-resistant zips provide storage space for small bits and bobs. Finally, the lower legs of the trousers are adjustable depending on your footwear.
How do they fit?
They feature Mountain Equipment's 'Alpine fit', meaning they have a slightly closer fit than purely walking/trekking based trousers, yet allow room underneath for additional layers. Articulated knees give you complete freedom of movement while climbing and mountaineering.
