What are the Aspire 3L Pants?

They're waterproof trousers that deliver durable, reliable protection in wet weather, whether hiking, trekking, backpacking, or travelling.

What are they made of?

These trousers use AscentShell Dry 3L, which is comprised of recycled nylon stretch fabric and delivers exceptional waterproof protection and breathability to help keep you comfortable all day.

Nylon is also incredibly durable and can endure a beating in rugged terrain, while the mechanical stretch enhances freedom of movement for technical manoeuvres, using equipment, and navigating steep inclines.

It's finished with a PFAS-free Nikwax Direct Dry DWR (durable water repellent) that encourages water to bead off the material instead of soaking in, minus the use of harmful PFAS chemicals (aka forever chemicals). This increases weather resistance whilst maintaining breathability, ensuring the fabric doesn't wet out and block moisture and heat buildup from sweat from escaping.

AscentShell™ Dry 3L is also bluesign® approved, meaning it's manufactured in a way that is safe for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.

What are their features?

An elasticated waist with a drawcord adjuster allows you to enhance the fit for maximum comfort.

A gusseted crotch increases flexibility and freedom of movement by taking pressure away from vital seams and helping to prevent an embarrassing split trouser moment on the hill! Articulated knees also allow for better movement around the joints and deliver a more natural fit around the leg.

Internal loops allow you to attach instep laces, and a carabiner loop makes room for hooking essentials or accessories, such as an extra layer, water bottle, or pair of gloves.

3/4 length side zips are ideal for ventilation and heat dumping when you're working up a sweat. They allow easy on-and-off and make it easy to accommodate chunky mountain boots.

YKK® Aquaguard zippers are fully waterproof and ensure that zip fastenings will not leak when wet.

Lastly, the back pocket of these trousers not only makes room for small essentials like snacks, but serves as a handy stuffsack, meaning you can stuff these trousers into the pocket when you're done with them, keeping them tidy on the go.
