What are the Outdoor Everyday Cargo Pants?

What are they made of?
These trousers are made with quick-drying NetPlus® material and spandex weave.
NetPlus® is Bureo's signature material. It's made from post-consumer recycled fishing nets, meaning it helps reduce one of the most harmful forms of ocean plastic pollution while still empowering fishing communities worldwide. The material is fully traceable and created in partnership with fishermen and women to provide a more circular solution for end-of-life nets, reducing the amount of plastic entering the ocean and making the most of what is otherwise an incredibly precious resource and usable material.
The spandex weave adds a little extra stretch to these trousers for enhanced comfort and freedom of movement.
Surprisingly, the material provides UPF 40+ protection, making these trousers perfect for exploring exposed terrain or gardening under the sun during spring.
The material is finished with PFAS/PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) to provide light weather resistance, encouraging light rain and snow to bead away instead of soaking in.
PFC-free means perfluorinated chemical-free. Perfluorinated chemicals (PFCs), commonly used to add water repellent to textiles, are also known as forever chemicals and cause environmental harm, similar to PFAS.
PFAS means per- or poly-fluorinated alkyl; these are a group of industrial chemicals that also cause detrimental harm to the environment, often through product and garment manufacture.
These chemicals can't break down, so once they reach nature (usually via factory water waste), they stay in the ecosystem and contaminate living organisms, working their way up the food chain. PFAS and PFCs are suspected carcinogens and have been known to affect mammal reproduction and hormone production. Therefore, many leading brands in the outdoor industry are now prioritising cutting out the use of these chemicals entirely to contribute to a more responsible manufacturing process.
This product is also made in a Fair Trade Factory™, giving Patagonia more control of the operations in the factories they choose to work with. Patagonia proudly offers more Fair Trade styles than any other apparel brand in the current market. But how does it work? Patagonia pays a premium for every item made in one of these factories, and this money goes directly to the factory workers. A democratically elected committee of Fair Trade workers will decide how this extra money gets spent in each Fair Trade factory.The program also promotes worker healthand safety, and social and environmental compliance,while encouraging healthier dialogue between workers and management.
What are the features?
These trousers have a mid-rise and relaxed fit for enhanced comfort, coverage, and freedom of movement. Each leg is tapered to help reduce bulk, and the inseam measures a sensible 28 inches.
An elasticated waistband with a zip fly and button closure feels flexible and non-restrictive. You also get an adjustable webbing belt that you can tuck into the belt loops to achieve a precise fit every time. The webbing also peeks through the rear waistband to add some extra colour and funky detailing.
Two front drop-in pockets provide storage for small essentials such as trail snacks, doggy bags, and keys. You also get two thigh cargo-style pockets with flaps and hook-and-loop closures, with webbing tabs for ease of use, ideal for mobile phones.
