What are the G22 Plus Cramp-O-Matic EVO Crampons?

What are they made of?
These crampons are made with a mixture of steel, forged steel and plastic, which makes them both robust yet flexible to move more naturally with the foot.
The two-front points are made from forged steel to ensure they won't shatter as they dig into solid ice. It provides a tight grip on rock and a 'soft' penetration of ice which is reliable and more comfortable.
Plastic plates help reduce weight and offer pliability where you need it most, without compromising function and durability in rugged environments.
What are their features?
Worn by top climbers in the industry, the G22 Plus have a 12-point configuration that is perfect for those seeking more stability than single-point crampons. The two points at the front of the crampons use a T-structure that allows them to be used in complex conditions.
You can replace these front points in case of high wear to increase the crampons' longevity and save you forking out for another pair in the future.
The position of each point, both on the front and underneath, improves stability in all climbing positions and on all types of ice.
Grivel Proactive Antibott prevents snow and ice from building up underneath - a potentially hazardous problem that can cause you to lose grip and stability. The Antibott system is the ball-shaped element on the bottom of the crampon (you'll find it on the front and rear of the G22 Plus'). It unloads snow with every step by taking advantage of the movement of your foot using an elastic action.
The Cramp-O-Matic binding system relies on a nylon speed level at the rear and a stainless steel front bale to hold the boot in place, which is fast and easy to use.
