What is the Front Range Dog Harness?
It's an updated version of Ruffwear's ever-popular Front Range Harness. This comfortable, padded and robust harness is made for everyday adventuring with your furry best friend. Whether heading to the local park, strolling around the block, exploring woodland trails or hiking in the mountains, this dependable harness is ready for anything! Easily adjustable, with two leash attachment points, it's a great choice for dogs of all shapes, sizes and leash manners.
What's new? Ruffwear has improved the girth straps to make adjusting them easier while also increasing the amount of recycled materials used throughout the shell, webbing, and lining.
What is it made from?
The Front Range Harness is constructed from a combination of a durable 300-denier outer fabric, closed-cell foam padding and a breathable mesh lining.
The super tough 300-denier polyester ripstop fabric outer is made from 63% recycled materials and is designed to withstand the rigours of everyday use by your dog. Whether they're having a good ole scratch or just rolling around in the dirt - dogs and abrasion go hand in hand. The material is reassuringly sturdy to the touch whilst also being comfortable enough for everyday wear. This fabric is also bluesign® approved, meaning it's manufactured in a way that is safe for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
The breathable polyester knit mesh lining is made from 100% recycled materials and provides lasting next-to-fur comfort, ensuring your dog doesn't overheat or feel restricted when running, jumping, and generally having a good time on their walk. The soft closed cell foam provides padding throughout the main body of the harness for ultimate comfort for your dog without impacting their ability to respond to your lead signals.
The sturdy webbing straps are constructed from highly durable polyester webbing, which is made from 30% recycled materials. It, too, is made to withstand the abrasion from daily walks and tail-wagging adventures.
The secure back V-ring leash attachment point is made from Anodized 6061-T6 aluminium, a sturdy yet lightweight aluminium that ensures a dependable collar-leash connection that'll give you added confidence knowing that your pup is safe and secure. Whilst the front leash attachment is made from a robust engineered nylon webbing, that is also bluesign® approved.
What are its features?
The Front Range Harness features two leash attachment points for versatile use, depending on your pooches leash manners. The V-ring to the back is perfect for everyday walks and longer adventures, whereas the other reinforced webbing loop at the chest is great for redirecting your dog and reminding them of their leash manners when required.
The harness features four points of adjustment so you can quickly and easily find the perfect, secure fit for dogs of all shapes and sizes. Whilst the sturdy side-release buckles make popping it on and off everyday easy.
A small secure pocket provides the perfect place to attach and neatly tuck away your dog's ID tags so they don't get lost, damaged or caught whilst your dog is exploring, giving you peace of mind if they somehow manage to run too far, they can quickly be identified.
Reflective trims across the harness help provide visibility in low light, whether walking near roads or simply to help keep track of them during off-lead escapades at night. A Ruffwear Beacon™ (sold separately) can also be attached to the harness via the handy attachment point for extra visibility at night.
