What is the Konseal Harness?
This harness is built for both outdoor climbing and indoor sessions at your local gym. Thanks to the targeted ergonomic padding and functional construction, it's a perfect option for those looking for something practical, versatile, and super comfy.
What is it made of?
The harness uses a combination of nylon mono-mesh and four-way stretch double weave to create a robust and durable structure that feels comfortable when taking the impact of a fall, or hanging from the rock for lengthy periods. The four-way stretch offers improved mobility as the material moves with the body, allowing the user to have total concentration on their next move without being distracted by discomfort.
What are its features?
Overall, the harness is rugged enough to withstand heavy use on the rockface, with the ability to resist abrasion and scrapes on hard, rough surfaces. It has a streamlined, minimal design that looks super sleek and offers improved freedom of movement. It's perfect for climbers who enjoy both types of climbing and want one harness for all activities.
Targeted, ergonomic padding offers extra cushioning where you need it most, helping to minimise the feeling of impact if you take a tumble and optimising comfort if you are belaying for a while.
There are adjustable leg loops for enhancing the fit and feel of the harness to suit every thigh size - the straps should be tightened to sit close to the legs with no gaps, without feeling like you've cut off your blood circulation! Pulling the straps too tight will not make the harness perform any better than usual.
There are wear safety markers built into the harness for those who use the harness copious amounts - the safety markers will begin to show towards the end of its lifespan on high wear areas such as the belay loop and tie-in spots... but don't worry! It usually takes years of wear to get to that point. If you see the safety markers peeping through, that's an indication you'll need to retire the harness as it is no longer safe to use.
In total, the harness has five loops for outdoor ascents. It has four gear loops and a rear haul loop, providing plenty of room to carry a lot of equipment.
The harness has reliable self locking buckles - they offer some extra reassurance that you're safe and secure during your session, so even on scary multi-pitch routes, the Konseal Harness has got you covered!
