Suunto Traverse Graphite

Trim weight, reduce bulk and look good whilst doing so. Nope I'm not talking about an after Christmas gym session, I'm talking about doing away with you're big and bulky GPS unit and getting your hand on a Suunto Traverse. This may look like a beefy watch but Suunto have crammed so many essential features in to such this tiny space. You have you typical ABC functions (Altimeter, Barometer and Compass) that is also accompanied by many of the useful GSP features.

Pre-plan your trip on your computer using Movescount.com then sync that to your traverse so you can use it as a point of reference to back up your map reading, you can also save 'Points Of Interest' (POI) directly on the watch so you can revisit those hard to find areas. The real time breadcrumb trail allows for easy backtracking and all the data that the Traverse records can be set to automatically sync to your phone via bluetooth giving you instant access to data graphs. You can also set it to automatically sync to apps such as Strava, Training Peaks, Map My Fitness and many more.

Now for the fun part. You can use the Movescount moblie/tablet app to re-live your adventures as it can show you your days activities overlaid onto a 3D topographic map. You can playback and visually see the terrain you have covered and see how fast you we're travelling throughout the course of the day day. Other useful features include a step counter and the ability to link the Traverse to your phone and get notifications of your calls and texts.
