What are the Mission Leather Mid WP's?
The Mission Leather Mid boots are mid-height, waterproof approach shoes designed for hiking, hill walking, trekking or walk-ins for a weekend climbing at the crag. They provide ample support, cushioning and comfort to keep your feet happy during adventures in changeable conditions.
What are they made of?
Upper: The uppers of these approach shoes are made from quality Nubuck leather, which offers incredible durability and abrasion resistance for rugged terrain.
Lining: BD.dry lining makes these shoes completely waterproof. It blocks water from seeping through the fabric without compromising breathability to keep you comfortable and protected when working hard or adventuring in humid conditions.
Midsole: An EVA midsole stiffens the shoe underneath the foot to give you a more stable feel on uneven surfaces, increasing protection in rocky environments. A stiffer midsole is also ideal for Via Ferrata and precision in vertical terrain, giving you confidence in each step.
Outsole: The outsole is constructed using BlackLabel-Mountain, a high-performance sticky rubber that maximises grip on smoother surfaces and slippery rocks. It has high-traction lugs for mud yet still includes the full capability for climbing with added soft terrain security to increase the shoes' overall versatility.
What are their features?
The laces on these shoes go higher up the ankle for better security to help increase support for technical terrain. Padding around the ankles protects against scree and debris, and a fully gusseted tongue prevents dirt from sneaking in through the upper.
A rubber heel rand and toe cap shield your feet from abrasion and impact on hard rocks when climbing and scrambling. A climbing forefoot and toecap construction also enhance performance during your ascent, while the heel brake and midfoot shank make aid walls, Via Ferrata and steep descents much more comfortable.
Seams are strategically placed and kept to a minimum to reduce exposure to wear and increase the overall longevity of the construction, allowing you to wear these shoes again and again, being able to rely on them every time.
