What are the Mescalito TRK Pro GTX?
The Mescalito TRK Pro GTX are exclusive, durable, waterproof boots. They're primarily designed for long hikes and trekking in challenging conditions and terrain, promising grip, longevity, support and comfort under a heavy backpack.
What are they made of?
Upper: The upper of these boots is made with premium quality, oiled nubuck leather with a water-repellent finish. This leather looks similar to suede and performs just as well as regular leather in terms of durability, flexibility and weather resistance.
Lining: A Gore-Tex® lining ensures reliable waterproof protection for wet conditions. Though waterproof, this lining is completely breathable and will allow sweat to escape, regulating temperature and preventing moisture buildup inside.
This material is bluesign® approved, meaning it's manufactured in a way that is safe for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
Outsole: A Vibram® XS Trek sole provides longevity, comfort, stability and grip for long mountain days. The rubber compound used on the soles permits excellent overall performance for versatility yet primarily focuses on flexibility and traction on wet ground and rock, increasing precision in every step and allowing you to walk more confidently in rainy weather.
What are their features?
A leather lining on the collar is hardwearing enough to last years of abuse without wearing down. The collar sits higher up the ankle to provide additional support, helping to stop your ankles from rolling on uneven terrain.
The laces run all the way down the foot, allowing you to dial in the fit and reduce volume without creating uncomfortable pressure over the top of the feet. The top three eyelets of the lacing system use hooks that grip the lace, helping to prevent them from slipping out of place and becoming loose as you move.
A rubber rand around the front of the foot increases protection for the toes without adding excessive bulk.
ACTIV Impact Technology in the sole absorbs negative impact from the ground, increasing shock absorption with every step for a smoother feel, helping to reduce foot fatigue.
