What is the High AF Down Stretch Parka?
The High AF Down Stretch Parka is a super cosy, warm and versatile down-filled jacket that offers reliable performance and weather protection in cold conditions. It uses ExpeDry Ultra Dry Down to boost warmth during various outdoor activities, casual everyday use, commuting to work, watching the kids play footie on the weekend and even walking the dog in winter.
What is it made from?
This parka jacket is ethically constructed from a four-way stretch woven nylon with a GTT Empel DWR treatment and filled with RDS ExpeDry Ultra Dry Down for excellent moisture management and thermoregulation.
Insulation: The High AF Parka is filled with 700 fill power ExpeDry Ultra Dry Down, which was created by Allied Feather + Down, the world leader in traceable Responsible Down Standard (RDS) down, and is a game-changing advance in thermal, moisture protection and sustainability.
This insulation uses 700 fill power down that is treated with Gold-Nano fuze technology to permanently bond non-toxic gold particles to the individual clusters of down to aid the evaporation of water molecules. This gives the down hydrophobic properties, allowing it to dry 40-50% faster and stay dry longer than untreated down, allowing it to fully loft (trap warm air) quicker and easier, providing reliable thermal performance in damp conditions. This innovative hydrophobic technology is chemical-free, PFC, PFA, C-6 free and is also bluesign® approved.
Outer: The jacket's outer is constructed from a durable woven nylon fabric with a comfortable four-way stretch and great moisture-wicking properties to help regulate your body's temperature during everyday and high-output activities.
This robust face fabric is treated with Artilect's innovative Empel DWR for permanent water resistance. Empel DWR's uses uniform polymers that individually wrap each of the fabric's fibres with a protective molecular bonded water-repellent shield. This creates a super-hydrophobic exterior to the material that provides 10 times more protection than regular DWR's.
Empel DWR's are hurricane chamber tested for reassurance that they can withstand real-world use. They also won't wear out or ever need to be reapplied as the water resistance is hyper-fused to the actual fibres of the fabric. This treatment also enhances the breathability and softness of the material, all while being water, solvent and PFA/PFC free! Oh, and to top it all off, it's also Oeko-Tex certified.

The centre front zip features an innovative YKK® Touchlink™ zipper that links with your smartphone and the Lifekey™ software platform, enhancing the product's functionality. This YKK Touchlink™ provides access to digital functionality, sharing experiences and Lifekey safety features. Powered by NFC technology (the same technology that powers Apple and Android pay), Touchlink™ serves as an access point to the internet when touched by a smartphone. The passive NFC technology is encased in a durable moulded TPU zipper pull designed to handle the abuses of everyday living. Built to endure a lifetime of laundering, severe weather, and rugged use the technology is always on, has no moving parts and requires no power source. Neat, right?
For storage, there is a plethora of zippered pockets for keeping all your trail essentials and snacks close to hand. They consist of two hand pockets, one chest pocket and two inner dump pockets for storing everything from energy gels to a mobile phone and your gloves, beanie and buff when they're not in use.
Finally, an adjustable hem allows you to tailor the fit depending on the activity and cinch in excess material, helping to trap warm air inside the jacket and keep cold winds out.
