DPD Returns Portal

We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. We offer a 90-day returns period from the date of purchase and aim to process all returns within 48 working hours of receipt. During exceptionally busy periods, returns may take up to 7 working days to be processed.

We do not offer a free returns service. If using the DPD Returns Portal, a charge of £5 will be deducted from your refund when processed. Returns from Highlands and Islands using the DPD Returns Portal will deduct £15.50 from the order refund. Large DPD returns will have £6 deducted from their refund. (Specifications are over 5kg, and over Length of 30cm x width of 30cm and height of 10cm). If customers are returning items using their own postal service, and our returns form, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT - due to a technical issue with YEEP lockers, we are currently advising customers not to use them and to drop parcels off at a DPD Pickup Shop. Using a YEEP locker may significantly delay your parcel being returned to us and your refund being issued.

We are not liable for delays once an order has been dispatched. However, we will always work with the courier to assist in resolving any delivery issues where possible.

If an order has not been received, customers must contact us within 14 days of dispatch so that we can investigate and assist accordingly.

What are the Consumer Contract Regulations?

Under the "Consumer Contract Regulations, you have the right to cancel an order for goods made at a distance. These rights start from the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

What is the Valiance Jacket?

The Valiance Jacket is a waterproof down jacket ideal for everyday casual use or hill walking at the weekend in cold, damp conditions, where warmth and weather protection are equally important. It combines Pertex® Shield and 700FP down to deliver the best of both worlds, allowing it to be both warm and waterproof.

This updated construction focuses on improved repairability and durability, helping to extend the jacket's lifespan over time.

Materials & Technology

Pertex® Shield 2-Layer Fabric

For waterproof protection, the jacket uses 2-layer, 40D Pertex® Shield, which is a highly breathable, waterproof fabric designed for use in the mountains when protection, weight and breathability are key.

This 2-layer waterproof material combines a durable 40D face fabric with a waterproof, windproof and breathable Pertex® membrane, for reliable protection when the weather's not playing ball.

Pertex® Shield delivers a hydrostatic head rating of 20,000mm and a breathability MVTR score of 20,000 g/m2/24hrs, meaning it offers great waterproof protection and breathability for various outdoor activities. The jacket feels soft, packable and noticeably quieter than a traditional shell jacket, making it exceptionally comfortable to wear.

The face fabric is finished with a PFC-Free DWR (durable water repellent) coating to encourage rain to bead off the jacket instead of soaking in, without the use of harmful forever chemicals.

700 Fill Power Hydrophobic Down

For warmth, the jacket is filled with 205g of 700FP recycled down with Grangers hydrophobic finish for maximum loft (fluffiness) and warmth. This recycled down is made from a mix of different types of reclaimed down, creating a unique, much more responsible type of insulation.

If you're a little unsure about what down actually is, it is made up of clusters of tiny feather strands that trap heat. As the down lofts (fluffs up) it can trap more warmth than if it were to be compacted into a small space. Most down insulation comes from ducks and geese, and Rab's recycled down uses a mixture of both.

Grangers Down Defend®

The down is treated with a Grangers fluorocarbon-free Hydrophobic finish called Grangers Down Defend®. This hydrophobic down treatment is bluesign® approved and helps keep down lofted in damp conditions. It gives the down over 375x more durability than untreated down, extending the lifespan of your jacket.

Insulated Hood

A cosy, fully insulated hood provides shelter from the elements, whilst its two-way adjustment system allows you to optimise the fit around the head, ready for when the heavens start to open.

Updated Stitch-Through Baffle Construction

The main update to the Valiance Jacket is the upgraded stitch-through baffles. This new construction is essentially a micro-baffle down jacket, with a waterproof 2-layer Pertex® Shield jacket over the top. By switching to traditional stitch-through baffles, Rab has increased the durability and longevity of the baffles without impacting their performance, ensuring the jacket is both easy to care for and repairable in the future.

Weather-Protective Front Zip

The jacket is fastened with a YKK® VISLON® AquaGuard® front zip with an insulated zip baffle. This combination helps reduce heat loss through the front of the jacket, whilst preventing rain or wind from entering through the zip.

Practical Pocket Layout

For storage, you'll find two zipped hand pockets and a concealed zipper chest pocket offering ample storage for your daily essentials such as gloves, snacks and a beanie. The internal chest pocket provides a safe home for more valuable items such as a mobile phone, helping to protect them from the battery-draining cold weather.

Internal Stretch Cuffs and Adjustable Hem

Internal elasticated cuffs and a dual-sided adjustable bottom hem help seal in warmth to prevent cold winds from entering the jacket, improving comfort in cold, exposed conditions.
