90-day returns period

DPD Returns Portal
We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. We offer a 90-day returns period from the date of purchase and aim to process all returns within 48 working hours of receipt. During exceptionally busy periods, returns may take up to 7 working days to be processed.

We do not offer a free returns service. If using the DPD Returns Portal, a charge of £5 will be deducted from your refund when processed. Returns from Highlands and Islands using the DPD Returns Portal will deduct £15.50 from the order refund. Large DPD returns will have £6 deducted from their refund. (Specifications are over 5kg, and over Length of 30cm x width of 30cm and height of 10cm). If customers are returning items using their own postal service, and our returns form, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT - due to a technical issue with YEEP lockers, we are currently advising customers not to use them and to drop parcels off at a DPD Pickup Shop. Using a YEEP locker may significantly delay your parcel being returned to us and your refund being issued.

We are not liable for delays once an order has been dispatched. However, we will always work with the courier to assist in resolving any delivery issues where possible.
If an order has not been received, customers must contact us within 14 days of dispatch so that we can investigate and assist accordingly.

If you have returned an item using the DPD returns portal and have not received confirmation of your refund, you must contact us within 14 days of dispatching your return so we can investigate. After this period, we may be unable to investigate or raise a claim.

We do not offer a free returns service. Customers returning items using their own postal service and our returns form are responsible for any postage costs when returning goods (excluding warranty returns).

In return, they will supply you with a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN), a Returns Form and a FREE postage label. Please complete the returns form with as much detail as possible and include it with your item.

Any returns sent back requesting an exchange will be refunded in line with our returns process.

Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your account within 3 to 5 working days, depending on how your card provider processes refunds.

Refunds can only be made to the original payment method and are normally processed within 2 working days, however, during busy periods they can take up to 7 days.

Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your PayPal account that same day.

We want to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, the first step for this is reducing our waste. Therefore, please note that we will always offer a professional repair in the first instance; if the product can be repaired.

This may involve your product being sent back to our suppliers or to a professional repair company. Please note that due tovaried procedures, warranty claims and repairs can take between 2 and 4 weeks to be concluded

What is the Xenon Shield Jacket?

The Xenon Shield Jacket is a waterproof, synthetically insulated jacket designed to keep you warm and protected during active winter days in the mountains.

It combines a Pertex® Shield waterproof outer with strategically placed PrimaLoft® Silver synthetic insulation to create a balance of warmth, protection and mobility, making it well-suited to winter hiking, mountaineering and general cold-weather outdoor use.

Materials & Technology

Pertex® Shield 2-Layer Construction

For waterproof protection, the jacket uses 2-layer, 40D Pertex® Shield, which is a highly breathable, waterproof fabric designed for use in the mountains when protection, weight and breathability are key.

This 2-layer waterproof material combines a durable 40D face fabric with a waterproof, windproof and breathable Pertex® membrane, for reliable protection when the weather's not playing ball.

Pertex® Shield delivers a hydrostatic head rating of 20,000mm and a breathability MVTR score of 20,000 g/m2/24hrs, meaning it offers great waterproof protection and breathability for various outdoor activities. The jacket feels soft and noticeably quieter than a traditional shell jacket, making it exceptionally comfortable to wear.

The face fabric is finished with a PFC-Free DWR (durable water repellent) coating to encourage rain to bead off the jacket instead of soaking in, without the use of harmful forever chemicals.

Body-Mapped PrimaLoft® Silver Insulation

For warmth, the jacket uses PrimaLoft® Silver synthetic insulation in a body-mapped construction to focus warmth or low bulk where it's needed most. The main body contains 133g of PrimaLoft® Silver insulation to provide core warmth, while the sleeves use 109g insulation to balance warmth with freedom of movement.

PrimaLoft® Silver Rise is made from 100% recycled polyamide sourced from post-consumer materials and is a lightweight, highly durable insulation with a unique construction that resists compression. It boasts an impressive warmth-to-weight ratio comparable to high-quality natural down without any of the faff, making it a great vegan-friendly alternative to down that can still perform even when wet.

Features and Functionality

Adjustable Hood

A two-way adjustable hood with a stiffened flexible polymer peak provides essential shelter from the elements. It can easily be cinched in close in exposed conditions, ensuring that it moves with you as you turn your head to maintain visibility in rain, wind and snow.

Waterproof Front Zip

The jacket is fastened with a YKK® VISLON® AquaGuard® front zip with a storm placket to prevent water ingress through the zip, while an internal chin guard improves comfort around the face and neck when fully zipped.

Mountain Pocket Layout

For storage, you'll find two YKK® semi-concealed AquaGuard® hand pockets and a zipped chest pocket on the outside. Whilst an internal mesh stuff pocket and an internal zipped security pocket offer additional storage for mountain essentials. The pockets have been carefully positioned to remain easily accessible whilst wearing a backpack or climbing harness.

Articulated Sleeves

Fully articulated sleeves provide a natural range of movement for various outdoor activities, and are particularly useful when reaching overhead, using poles or moving over technical ground.

Adjustable Cuffs and Hem

The jacket is finished with extended cuffs for added coverage across the wrists and hands when reaching or scrambling, whilst hook-and-loop adjustments allow you to refine the fit around gloves or mitts.
