Consumer Contract Regulations (CCR)

What are the Consumer Contract Regulations?

Under the "Consumer Contract Regulations, you have the right to cancel an order for goods made at a distance. These rights start from the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

Your right to cancel

Your right to cancel an order for goods starts the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

This 14 day period is the time you have to decide whether to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to actually send the goods back.

Your Right to a Refund under CCR

You may get a refund within 14 days of either, the trader getting the goods back, or you providing evidence of having returned the goods (for example, a proof of postage receipt from the post office), whichever is the sooner.

A deduction can be made if the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of you handling the goods more than was necessary. The extent to which you can handle the goods is the same as it would be if you were assessing them in a shop.

Refunding the cost of delivery

The trader has to refund the basic delivery cost of getting the goods to you in the first place, so if you opted for enhanced service e.g. guaranteed next day, it only has to refund the basic cost.

Exemptions

There are some circumstances where the Consumer Contracts Regulations does not give you a right to cancel. These include CDs, DVDs or software if you've broken the seal on the wrapping, perishable items and tailor-made or personalised items. They also include goods with a seal for health protection and hygiene reasons that have been broken or tampered with, e.g. Climbing Equipment and PPE.

My goods are broken

If you feel that your item is defective/broken/faulty and it is still under warranty, please contact our Customer Support team([email protected])with as much information as possible with regards to the fault, including photos if applicable.

We want to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, the first step for this is reducing our waste. Therefore, please note that we will always offer a professional repair in the first instance; if the product can be repaired.

This may involve your product being sent back to our suppliers or to a professional repair company. Please note that due tovaried procedures, warranty claims and repairs can take between 2 and 4 weeks to be concluded

7mesh Guardian Air Jacket Men’s

Ultralight GORE-TEX ePE Storm Shell

What Is the 7mesh Guardian Air Jacket?

The 7mesh Guardian Air Jacket is a hyper-minimal storm shell built for extreme objectives where weight, packability and uncompromising protection matter most. Designed as an outlier within the Guardian range, it pairs ultralight construction with the gold standard of GORE-TEX waterproof protection.

At just 200g, Guardian Air delivers serious mountain performance without excess bulk. It’s engineered for fast-moving alpine missions, remote expeditions and high-output pursuits where carrying less makes a measurable difference.

Despite its minimal weight, it maintains full storm integrity, mobility and durability, proving that lightweight does not mean compromised.

Best For

  • Cycling and bikepacking
  • Trail running
  • Fast hiking and mountain days
  • Ski touring
  • Fast & light adventures
  • Ultra-endurance activities
  • Changeable and wet weather
  • Trips where low weight and packability are essential

Materials & Construction

GORE-TEX ePE with 15D High Tenacity Ripstop Face Fabric

Guardian Air is constructed using GORE-TEX ePE laminate paired with a patented 15-denier ripstop high-tenacity nylon face fabric. With a 28,000mm+ water column rating and guaranteed-to-perform GORE-TEX ePE membrane, this advanced material combination delivers dependable waterproof and windproof performance in an exceptionally lightweight package.

The 15D high-tenacity nylon enhances tear resistance while maintaining flexibility and packability. The ripstop structure reinforces the fabric grid, preventing small abrasions from forming and spreading — essential in alpine and exposed terrain where durability cannot be sacrificed, even in ultralight designs.

The expanded polyethylene (ePE) membrane delivers reliable waterproof protection and breathability while reducing environmental impact compared to traditional PTFE-based membranes.

C-Knit Recycled Backer

The inner layer features a GORE C-Knit recycled backer that improves next-to-skin comfort while reducing overall garment weight. C-Knit construction enhances breathability and creates a softer internal feel compared to traditional 3-layer laminates.

This results in a jacket that feels less rigid and more adaptable during dynamic movement, without compromising structural storm protection.

Sustainable Fabric Certifications

The Guardian Air Jacket integrates recycled materials and is manufactured using bluesign® approved and OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified fabrics.

bluesign® approval ensures strict chemical management and responsible resource use throughout production. OEKO-TEX® certification verifies that all fabric components have been tested for harmful substances and are safe for skin contact.

The jacket is also constructed without PFCs or PFAS, eliminating persistent fluorinated chemicals while maintaining dependable waterproof and windproof performance.

Features

360° Articulation

Full articulated patterning enables unrestricted overhead reach and dynamic movement in technical terrain.

Helmet-Compatible Cross Pull Hood

The Cross Pull Hood system allows multi-point adjustment for precise storm coverage while maintaining peripheral visibility. Designed to fit over a climbing helmet.

StowAway Snap Hood Storage

A secure hood stow system allows you to snap the hood down when a lower profile is preferred.

High Coverage Collar

Extended collar height helps block wind and driving rain for improved storm protection.

Two-Way Front Zipper

The two-way zipper improves ventilation and freedom of movement, particularly when wearing a harness.

Zippered Heat Vents

Strategically placed heat vents allow temperature regulation during high-output efforts without removing the jacket.

Internal Phone-Compatible Pocket

A secure internal pocket keeps essentials protected from the elements.

StashSystem Packability

The jacket packs into its integrated StashSystem pocket, making it easy to stow away and carry when the weather clears.

Low-Profile Adjustments

No-snag, one-handed cuff Velcro and a low-profile hem adjuster allow quick fit customisation, even with gloves.

Fit & Ride Feel

Fit Profile

Trim alpine fit — designed for efficient layering without excess bulk.

Mobility

Lightweight construction, combined with full articulation, ensures unrestricted movement across climbing, scrambling, and technical hiking.

On-Mountain Performance

Guardian Air feels exceptionally light yet protective. It shields against severe wind and rain while remaining breathable and highly packable for expedition use.

7mesh Guardian Air Jacket Review The Guardian Air is one of those jackets that makes you double-check the label when you first pick it up. At just 200g, it feels remarkably light and soft for a fully waterproof GORE-TEX shell, without the stiff, rustly feel traditionally associated with mountain waterproofs.
That lightweight feel comes partly from the newer PFAS-free membrane, which is around 30% lighter than the previous membrane technology. Despite feeling thinner and more supple, the Guardian Air is designed to provide serious weather protection, with the face fabric and backer helping to give the complete jacket the durability it needs.
What makes it particularly interesting is 7mesh’s cycling background. More than a decade of designing technical clothing for cyclists has influenced a shell that works brilliantly when you’re moving fast, whether that’s cycling, hiking, trail running or heading into the mountains.
Its biggest strength is how much protection is packed into such a small, lightweight jacket. It’s easy to carry when the forecast looks uncertain and versatile enough to use across different activities, making it the kind of waterproof that can spend a lot of time in your pack but quickly earns its place when the weather turns.
How Packable Is the Guardian Air? Extremely packable. The Guardian Air is designed specifically for fast-and-light missions where every gram and every centimetre of pack space matters.

The Guardian Air packs into its integrated StashSystem pocket, creating a compact bundle that takes up very little room in a pack. Because it weighs just 200g, it’s the kind of shell you’ll happily carry on every trip — even when the forecast looks good.

For alpine days, bikepacking trips or long mountain missions, that kind of packability makes a huge difference. It's a proper waterproof shell that disappears into your kit until the moment you need it.
Is It Durable Enough for Alpine Use? For such a lightweight jacket, durability is impressive. The Guardian Air uses a 15-denier high-tenacity ripstop nylon face fabric, which adds reinforcement across the fabric grid to help prevent small abrasions from forming and spreading.

That construction means it can handle real mountain use, including scrambling, exposed ridgelines and technical hiking in bad weather.

It’s not intended to be a heavy-duty winter shell for constant rock contact, but for fast alpine missions where low weight is critical, the Guardian Air strikes an excellent balance between durability, protection and minimal weight.
