We do not offer a free returns service. Therefore, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

Zips are typically not covered under a manufacturer's warranty.

What is the Tacul Jacket?

The Tacul is a versatile waterproof jacket that works well for various adventures, such as trekking, backpacking, hiking, or even running everyday errands in the city.

What is it made of?

The Tacul Jacket uses a recycled 2.5-layer Drilite® 50D fabric with a 75% recycled membrane and a fluorocarbon-free DWR (durable water repellent). It also features reinforcements made of recycled three-layer Drilite® 50D with the same recycled membrane and DWR as the primary material.

Sounds like gibberish? Here's a quick breakdown.

Drilite® —Waterproof Drilite® fabric features a hydrophilic, monolithic polyurethane membrane that provides the ultimate wet weather protection while remaining lightweight and flexible. It combines years of knowledge and experience gathered by Mountain Equipment to provide optimum performance for mountain use, whether trail running or alpine hiking.

Fluorocarbon-free DWR -

'Fluorocarbon-free' indicates that the DWR finish, which helps to prevent water from soaking into the material, is free of fluorocarbons. Fluorocarbons are a group of chemical compounds comprising carbon, fluorine, and sometimes other elements like hydrogen, commonly used in products like refrigerants, aerosols, foams, and non-stick coatings, alongside water-repellent coatings in outdoor gear. Fluorocarbons, including CFCs, HFCs, and PFCs, can contribute to global warming and pose health risks when released into the environment as a waste product from production. Therefore, many outdoor brands are now trying to eliminate their use from their production processes.

What features does it have?

This jacket comes with a Mountain Hood that is fully adjustable and is made with an Alpine Fit to sit closer to the body and optimise breathability.

Articulated, pre-shaped sleeves offer exceptional freedom of movement for handling equipment or using walking poles.

The front is fastened using a YKK® moulded AquaGuard® zip with an internal flap that helps to keep the weather out, even if the jacket is left open.

Two large pockets with water-resistant zips provide storage for small essentials and peace of mind that your belongings will be kept safe and dry along the trails.

Water-resistant core venting zips also allow you to dump heat quickly and ventilate the jacket when working hard.

Lastly, adjustable, laminated cuffs and dual tether hem drawcords enable you to adapt the jacket's fit to your liking. They also seal out the weather when fully cinched to help balance your body's microclimate in tough conditions.
