Trekitt Updates

Here at Trekitt, we are used to change. Over the years we have had to move with the times and the needs of our customers. We've embraced it, we've enjoyed it, and the fruits of our evolution are apparent. We have the largest YouTube Channel compared to any outdoor retailer in the UK. We achieved Silver in the TGO Reader Awards for Best Online Retailer of the Year 2020, we have award-winning customer service, and we launched the appointment-based Service Centre just before the pandemic. Excellent timing. Yes, you could say we're not ones to stand still.

Now we are going through another change. You might not have known, but we have been growing rapidly over the last five years, and whilst this growth is appreciated and flattering, it has been tricky for our teams to manage at times. As a result, we have been pushed to our limits, knowing what we want to achieve whilst straining to keep up the service we love to offer you, our loyal customers.

So, to help us with our future growth, we have found a new partner, a company that shares our ethos and passion for the outdoors. Just like us, they have a family background, one that puts their people and their customers at the top of the agenda. Its core values align with ours, as does its goals: to get more people outside enjoying nature. That partner is Frilufts Retail Europe AB.

The acquisition of Trekitt by Frilufts, a subsidiary of Fenix Outdoor International AG, is a match made in heaven. The Trepte family wouldn't have passed on the baton to just anyone, and hand on heart, they couldn't have found a better fit. Trekitt has been working hard to bring people to the outdoors and enhance their experience by giving them good, honest advice. That is true of Frilufts. We are two like-minded companies, sharing the same culture and beliefs.

Going forward, we believe that Trekitt will be healthier and will thrive under the stewardship of Frilufts. Our customers too can be assured of the same level of care and attention that they have come to expect from the Trekitt team. It will even get better! Outwardly the brand will change very little, there'll be a logo refresh but our core brand values will remain embedded in everything we do.

The success of Trekitt has always been about the people. Brothers Paul and Mark Trepte, who inherited the business from their father, have nurtured an inspiring team of dedicated, loyal individuals. They are at the very heart of what we do, and going forward, this won't change. Paul and Mark will remain in key positions, ensuring a smooth transition. Likewise, the original Trekitt team that we have come to know and love will all be staying.

We're excited about Trekitt's future. Being part of a renowned global outdoor brand opens up a whole host of opportunities for us and for you, our customer. The future looks bright and we look forward to growing together with you.
