What is the Phase 30?
It's a backpack specially designed for commuters with busy lifestyles who need maximum storage for both work and play. It has a 30-litre capacity and plenty of storage options for optimum organisation, including a laptop and tablet sleeve. You could even double it up as a daypack for on-the-hill adventures - it's comfy and functional enough and even hydration compatible!
What is it made of?
This pack is made from 100% woven polyester and 50% recycled 420D Dobby (don't worry, we don't mean the house elf), which is extremely durable and abrasion resistant. It can withstand bumps and scrapes of everyday life yet is light to stop you from feeling weighed down by your load.
All materials are treated with HydroShield, which creates a water repellent barrier and encourages liquid to bead off the surface. However, please be aware this doesn't make it fully waterproof.
Which backsystem does it use?
The Phase Backpack features the specialised AirContour™ backsystem, which offers a supportive, breathable, flexible back for multi-activity adventures. The moulded foam, spacer mesh construction increases breathability and ventilation in points of contact - great for commuting to work in the city or a summer weekend hike in the Beacons.
What are its features?
The main compartment provides plenty of space for bulkier belongings and is split into two parts so that you can separate work and play. The pack also has a specialised workspace compartment that features a laptop sleeve that fits laptops up to 15 inches, a tablet sleeve and additional organisation for smaller office essentials.
A zipped top pocket gives access to smaller belongings you might need to grab quickly, and two side mesh pockets are perfect for bulky water bottles. On the front, there's also a bungee attachment to give you options to clip items to the bag's exterior if you need extra room.
The carry harness has thick straps, padded nicely to stop them from digging in when the pack is mounted, and a pocket that allows you to carry in-ear wireless headphones to keep them safe. The waistbelt is removable for those who prefer not to wear them or want to keep the weight to a minimum.
A whistle is built into the sternum strap in case of emergencies where you need to attract attention quickly if you're out on the hill - remember, the universal signal for help is three long blows on the whistle.
If you're a fan of hydration bladders, then you're in luck! This backpack is hydration compatible, so if you'd rather take a bladder out on the hill than bulky water bottles, this pack is versatile enough to do so.
Finally, there's a custom bike loop with reflective details and additional reflective detailing around the front and rear of the pack, increasing visibility if you're commuting on two wheels after hours.
