What is the Metron 18 Messenger Bag?
It's a durable messenger bag designed explicitly for biking commutes, yet suitable for everyday commuting and business trips. This bag offers multiple organisation options and is made with durable, long-lasting materials.
What is it made of?
The main body and base fabric are 500D high-tenacity nylon, which is incredibly robust and abrasion-resistant, making this bag tough enough to endure daily use. The main liner uses a lighter 200D material of the same composition to help reduce weight and bulk without compromising product longevity.
All of these materials are recycled, which of course, is much better for the planet, and treated with a PFAS-free DWR, eliminating the use of harmful PFAS compounds, otherwise known as 'forever chemicals'. DWR (durable water repellent) encourages water to bead off the fabric and provides reliable water resistance for unpredictable weather; however, please be aware that this doesn't make the bag fully waterproof!
All fabric is also bluesign® approved, meaning it's manufactured in a way that is safe for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
What are its features?
An ambidextrous shoulder strap allows you to wear this messenger bag on your left or right shoulder and features a deployable stabiliser strap should you need it.
A front panel zip pocket with small drop-in pockets and a key clip organise smaller belongings and keep them tidy. There's also an external zip pocket for bike locks, making it easy to access your lock once you've reached your destination.
The internal mesh pocket works perfectly for carrying water bottles and keeping them upright, plus, an internal laptop/document sleeve that fits most 16" laptops keeps your most valuable item secure and well protected on the move.
The blinky light attachment loop and extra reflective graphics provide visibility for biking in the dark or low-light conditions. This bag also comes with a Hi-Vis raincover for extra visibility in wet weather and keeps your belongings dry during your commute.
Lastly, dual internal grab handles offer an easy grab-and-go option if you're in a rush.
