What is the Black Hole® Micro MLC?
It's a small, feature-packed backpack for travelling, leisure, and even commuting to work. Like all items in the Black Hole® series, this backpack is made from incredibly durable materials. It provides ample organisational options while meeting strict travel criteria (however, as always, we recommend checking with your airline before boarding with this bag).
What is it made of?
The body of this bag is constructed using 100% postconsumer recycled polyester ripstop with a postindustrial recycled TPU-film laminate to enhance durability and abrasion resistance, ensuring this material will easily endure years of abuse.
It's lined with 100% recycled polyester plain weave with a PU coating for extra reinforcement and weather protection. The backpack and shoulder straps are crafted with 100% recycled polyester air mesh, which is lightweight, flexible, and breathable. Lastly, the webbing comprises 100% recycled nylon for optimum strength and reliability.
Body and strap fabrics are bluesign® approved, meaning they're manufactured safely for the environment, workers and consumers. bluesign® certifications ensure that the materials used avoid harmful substances, use reduced air and water emissions, increase resource productivity, and the production line is more transparent and trustworthy.
This product is also made in a Fair Trade Factory™, giving Patagonia more control of the operations in the factories they choose to work with. Patagonia proudly offers more Fair Trade styles than any other apparel brand in the current market. But how does it work? Patagonia pays a premium for every item made in one of these factories, and this money goes directly to the factory workers. A democratically elected committee of Fair Trade workers will decide how this extra money gets spent in each Fair Trade factory. The program also promotes worker health and safety, and social and environmental compliance, while encouraging healthier dialogue between workers and management.

A roomy main compartment provides enough space for an overnight trip and also has a mesh divider to keep your belongings in place when the bag is opened.
A triple-carry configuration delivers adaptability, meaning you can tailor the bag to your preferred carry method. You can use this bag as a backpack, shoulder or crossbody bag, or a briefcase. All necessary straps tuck away, eliminating complicated interchangeable or loose straps.
A dedicated tech space that fits a 15" laptop, plus documents and cords, is ideal for those on business trips or simply for the daily commute. You can access the laptop compartment from the top if you're carrying the bag like a backpack or from the side when carrying it like a sling bag or briefcase.
External lash points accommodate further accessories and belongings. Furthermore, you can use the webbing loop on the back panel as a grab handle or slip it over rolling luggage for easy transportation.
