90-day returns period

DPD Returns Portal
We hope that you are perfectly happy with your order from Trekitt, but we understand that sometimes you may need to return an item. We offer a 90-day returns period from the date of purchase and aim to process all returns within 48 working hours of receipt. During exceptionally busy periods, returns may take up to 7 working days to be processed.

We do not offer a free returns service. If using the DPD Returns Portal, a charge of £5 will be deducted from your refund when processed. Returns from Highlands and Islands using the DPD Returns Portal will deduct £15.50 from the order refund. Large DPD returns will have £6 deducted from their refund. (Specifications are over 5kg, and over Length of 30cm x width of 30cm and height of 10cm). If customers are returning items using their own postal service, and our returns form, all customers are responsible for any postage costs when returning any goods (excluding warranty returns).

THIS BIT IS IMPORTANT - due to a technical issue with YEEP lockers, we are currently advising customers not to use them and to drop parcels off at a DPD Pickup Shop. Using a YEEP locker may significantly delay your parcel being returned to us and your refund being issued.

We are not liable for delays once an order has been dispatched. However, we will always work with the courier to assist in resolving any delivery issues where possible.
If an order has not been received, customers must contact us within 14 days of dispatch so that we can investigate and assist accordingly.

If you have returned an item using the DPD returns portal and have not received confirmation of your refund, you must contact us within 14 days of dispatching your return so we can investigate. After this period, we may be unable to investigate or raise a claim.

We do not offer a free returns service. Customers returning items using their own postal service and our returns form are responsible for any postage costs when returning goods (excluding warranty returns).

Zips are typically not covered under a manufacturer's warranty.

To return an item to us, you must first:

If you feel that your item is defective/broken/faulty and it is still under warranty, please contact our Customer Support team ([email protected]) with as much information as possible with regards to the fault, including photos if applicable.

In return, they will supply you with a Returns Authorisation Number (RAN), a Returns Form and a FREE postage label. Please complete the returns form with as much detail as possible and include it with your item.

We cannot make any decisions before inspecting any claim. Should the item be found genuinely faulty, we aim to reach a fair and agreed solution, which may be a refund, a replacement or a professional repair.

We do not offer exchanges. Instead we ask you kindly to complete a new order for the desired replacement and return the unwanted Good(s) for a refund. We acknowledge that this might seem more complicated, we can assure you it is by far the most efficient and fastest way to ensure that you receive the goods you require.

Any returns sent back requesting an exchange will be refunded in line with our returns process.

Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your account within 3 to 5 working days, depending on how your card provider processes refunds.

Refunds can only be made to the original payment method and are normally processed within 2 working days, however, during busy periods they can take up to 7 days.

Once our Returns Team has processed your refund, you will receive a new e-receipt showing the returned item(s). After this you should expect to see your funds back in your PayPal account that same day.

Under the "Consumer Contract Regulations, you have the right to cancel an order for goods made at a distance. These rights start from the moment you place your order and ends 14 days from the day you receive your goods.

If you feel that your item is defective/broken/faulty and it is still under warranty, please contact our Customer Support team([email protected])with as much information as possible with regards to the fault, including photos if applicable.

We want to reduce our impact on the environment as much as possible, the first step for this is reducing our waste. Therefore, please note that we will always offer a professional repair in the first instance; if the product can be repaired.

This may involve your product being sent back to our suppliers or to a professional repair company. Please note that due tovaried procedures, warranty claims and repairs can take between 2 and 4 weeks to be concluded

Deuter Guide 44+6 Backpack Overview

The Deuter Guide 44+6 is a technical alpine backpack designed for mountaineering, climbing and demanding mountain adventures, combining stable load control with the adaptability required for changing objectives and equipment.

Its 44+6-litre capacity provides generous space for alpine equipment, with the option to extend the volume when extra room is required. A wide range of mountaineering features, including attachments for skis and ice axes, a rope strap, a detachable helmet holder, and dedicated gear loops, makes it easy to configure the pack for different mountain activities.

For more technical objectives, the hip fins and lid can be removed, allowing the pack to be stripped back when required. The removable hip fins also make the Guide easier to use with a climbing harness.

Materials

210D REC PA / REC PES R/S

The Guide 44+6 uses 210D recycled polyamide and recycled polyester ripstop fabric, designed to balance low weight with the durability needed for demanding alpine use. 210D refers to the weight of the yarn used, giving the fabric a relatively lightweight yet robust construction. Polyamide (nylon) adds durability, elasticity and low weight, while polyester provides resistance to tearing and abrasion with low moisture absorption. REC indicates the use of recycled resources, while the ripstop (R/S) construction reinforces the fabric to improve tear resistance, helping it withstand the stresses of regular mountain use.

Made Without Intentionally Added PFAS

The Guide 44+6 is made without intentionally added PFAS. Deuter uses DWR finishes without intentionally added PFAS, reducing reliance on the highly persistent chemicals historically used to provide water, dirt and grease repellency in outdoor textiles.

Green Button Certified

The Guide 44+6 carries the Green Button certification for its textile components. The German government-run certification considers social and environmental requirements within textile production as well as relevant company management and purchasing practices.

Bluepass Certified

The pack is a Bluepass certified product, meaning materials and production processes within the certification scope meet bluesign criteria covering areas such as resource efficiency, environmental protection, product stewardship and worker and social responsibility.

Alpine Back System

Deuter's Alpine back system is designed to provide stable load control and a compact, body-hugging fit. The solid, secure carry helps maintain balance on challenging terrain and supports controlled movement, while channels between the back padding encourage airflow. The padding is covered with breathable mesh to further support ventilation and carrying comfort.

Ergonomic Backplate and Flexible Frame

An ergonomic backplate and a flexible spring-steel frame provide structure and stability when the pack is loaded. The system is designed to keep the pack close to the body, helping maintain control when moving over exposed, uneven or technical mountain terrain.

44+6-Litre Expandable Capacity

The Guide provides a 44-litre main capacity with an additional 6 litres of expandable volume, allowing carrying space to be adapted when additional equipment is required. This gives the pack greater versatility for alpine adventures where equipment requirements can vary considerably.

Removable Hip Fins

The ergonomic padded hip fins can be removed, allowing the pack to be adapted for different alpine situations. Removing them can create a more streamlined setup when wearing a climbing harness, while the VariFlex construction supports natural movement when the hip fins are in use.

Removable, Height-Adjustable Lid

The lid is both height adjustable and detachable, allowing the pack to accommodate changing loads or be stripped back when a lighter, simpler configuration is preferred. An external lid compartment provides additional storage for smaller equipment that needs to remain accessible.

J-Shaped Front Access

A J-shaped front zipper provides another route into the pack, making it easier to reach equipment stored deeper inside without relying solely on the top opening.
