What is the XT 10?
The XT 10 provides ample storage for hill walks and day hikes without the excess weight and bulk. It's super durable, versatile and ideal for adventures where you don't need a hoard of gear.
What is it made of?
Body: The main body of this backpack is comprised of nylon, which is incredibly durable to help reduce wear and tear, increasing the bag's overall longevity to help you get years' worth of adventures out of it.
Lining/Back insert: The bag is lined with lightweight, smooth polyester to protect your belongings inside. The back insert is also made of polyester for a softer feel against the skin while keeping the overall weight low.
Pockets: Salomon has constructed the pockets using a mixture of nylon and elastane for durability and stretch, allowing the pack to accommodate belongings of different shapes and sizes.
What back system does it use?
The XT 10 has a minimal back panel to help keep the weight and bulk of the backpack to a minimum. Therefore, just a simple padded back panel is used to help increase comfort and prevent items inside the bag from digging in.
What are its features?
The U-zip opening offers easy access with a secure fastening to keep your items safe inside.
An array of pockets and compartments provide endless organisation for your essentials. The main compartment is perfect for stuffing bulkier items. This pack has an external zipped pocket that keeps valuable items safely tucked away, such as cash or a mobile phone. Two side expandable mesh pockets work for essentials that you need to keep within reach at all times, whether a super packable layer or some trail snacks.
The front, stretchy zipped pocket would fit a map perfectly, and the soft flask pocket (also on the front) is, as you may have guessed, perfect for holding soft flasks. One 500ml soft flask is also included with this backpack, which has an improved construction and thermo-moulded top for easier handling.
If you prefer using a hydration bladder, then you're in luck! The XT 10 is compatible with a 2L reservoir and has a sewn-in exit port to accommodate a hydration tube.
The hip belt adjusts easily for a perfect fit every time and helps transfer more of the weight from your back. Double adjustable sternum straps also help to add more stability.
An elasticated gear carrier and walking pole holders provide extra external storage. The key holder makes it easy to pull keys from your bag while leaving them attached, ensuring you don't drop them and lose them on the trail (or in the car park!).
An elasticated bungee system allows you to compress the load and reduce the overall volume of the bag.
The XT 10 is finished nicely with reflective detailing for additional visibility after dark or in low-light conditions.
