What is the Abisko Summer Lite Sleeping Bag?
It's a lightweight, synthetically insulated sleeping bag, ideal for casual camping, wild camping and trekking in warmer climates. Made from 100% recycled fabrics and insulation, it provides the ideal amount of warmth for a comfortable night's sleep throughout the summer months.
What is it made from?
Insulation: The Abisko Summer Lite Sleeping Bag is filled with 160g of PrimaLoft® synthetic insulation for lightweight warmth, even in damp conditions - perfect for summer nights camping in the UK when the weather is always unpredictable. This synthetic insulation is made from 100% recycled polyester from post-consumer recycled materials. Unlike down insulation, it's incredibly durable and effective when wet, making it ideal for camping in unpredictable UK weather. It's also much easier to care for than down, making it a great choice for fuss-free camping.
Outer: The outer is constructed from a 30D recycled polyamide fabric, which provides the ideal balance of durability and weight. Though recycled, this material makes no compromises. It feels smooth yet reassuringly robust to the touch, allowing it to hold up to frequent use whilst still being highly packable. The polyamide yarns help transport away moisture and dry quickly, making them ideal for camping in damp climates or dealing with any accidental spillages in the tent.
Lining: The lining is made from a lightweight 20D nylon taffeta fabric, made from recycled polyamide. This material feels smooth to the touch and is highly durable yet breathable enough to help regulate temperature and keep sweat/condensation build-up at bay, keeping you comfortable throughout the night.
What are its features?
The Abisko Summer Lite Sleeping Bag features a classic mummy shape and angled footbox to encourage a natural sleeping position for a comfortable night's sleep.
A full-length draft tube along the zip enhances the bag's thermal efficiency by preventing warm air from escaping through the zip, ensuring a cosy night's sleep. The hood can be cinched in and adjusted with one hand if you need to further retain heat in the night.
A single internal zippered pocket lets you keep smaller items such as a mobile phone or earplugs close to hand while you're cosied inside the bag. Convenient hanger loops at the bottom of the bag allow you to easily store it fully lofted when not in use.
Finally, an included compression sack allows you to pack it down as much as possible for on-the-go carry. When storing the bag, we recommend not folding sleeping bags into their sacks; just stuff them in willy-nilly! Doing this will prevent creases from developing in the insulation, which could result in cold gaps forming overtime.
