What is the Abisko Endurance 3?
It's a spacious and sturdy four-session, three-person tent that's easy to pitch and built for a lifetime of use. Its low-height tunnel construction and extra sturdy guylines create a strong and secure structure, allowing you to camp comfortably in all but the most extreme conditions. The extra large vestibule offers plenty of living space and gear storage, for an all-round comfortable camping experience.
What is it made from?
Fly: The fly is constructed from a combination of two different fabric weights, 20 denier at the top and 40 denier at the bottom, to provide an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. The flysheet is made from Fjallraven's TripleRip fabric, which is extremely light and tear-resistant fabric, created from 100% polyamide. It has a hydrostatic head of 3000mm, giving you peace of mind during wet and windy nights.
Inner: The inner is made from a lightweight yet durable 15 denier Ripstop nylon, made from 100% polyamide. The fabric is finished with a PFC-Free DWR to help shed any rouge rain droplets that may have been blown under the fly sheet.
Floor: The tent's floor is constructed from a durable 40 denier 100% polyamide (nylon) PU-coated fabric that's tough enough to cope with general wear and tear of regular use without affecting the tent's overall pack size. The PU coating provides a hydrostatic head rating of 6,000mm to protect you and your belongings from waking up with a soggy bottom. Although the ground sheet is durable, we'd still recommend using an additional groundsheet to protect your tent further, allowing it to remain in great condition for many years to come.
Mesh: Lightweight 20 denier No-see-Um polyester mesh increases the tent's ventilation and air circulation whilst being fine enough to keep even the smallest of unwanted bugs out.
Poles: The tent is erected with DAC Featherlite poles created from lightweight and extremely strong aluminium. The poles are 9.6mm wide for optimum stability and strength in windy conditions.
What are its features?
Entry: The tent has one large entrance on the side to maximise the amount of usable space inside the tent, whether for storing gear, relaxing in the evening, or providing space for your furry companions to sleep.
Space: With comfortable sleeping quarters for two people, this spacious tunnel tent has a comfortable sitting height of 105cm at the apex. The very large vestibule offers ample living space for relaxing and cooking inside the tent on wet and windy nights.
Storage: A large vestibule offers plenty of space for storing bulky or wet items such as walking boots and rucksacks. Six mesh pockets inside the inner tent, three big and three small, help keep you and your tent buddies' gear well-organised throughout your stay. There is also a clothesline in the vestibule and the inner tent to hang up gear or dry wet clothes overnight.
Ventilation: For ventilation, there are two vents, one at either end, which can be pegged out to maximise airflow and reduce condensation build-up.
Guys, Attachments & Pegs:
The Abisko Endurance 3 uses 2 mm reflective Dyneema guylines to increase visibility to prevent literal night-time trips. These sturdy guylines have a strength of 160kg to aid a secure and strong structure even in high winds.
The tent uses small DAC V-pegs made from light and strong aluminium. The pegs have a narrow "waist" that holds guy lines in place when the pegs are used as horizontal anchors in loose earth or sand. A Dyneema cord loop at the top of each peg makes pulling them out of the ground easier.
Robust, premium quality zippers are used throughout the tent, all with auto-lock zips so they won't start to creep undone in strong winds.
