What is the Aero Yurt? The Aero Yurt has been nicknamed the cotton castle here at Trekitt, and you can see why. It's a palatial inflatable polycotton shelter suitable for housing up to 8 people in blissful comfort.
What is it made of?It's made using Robens' HydroTex Polycotton, a simple yet proven mixture of polyester and cotton. As the rain gets heavier, the fibres swell to form a waterproof seal. Robens have treated this fabric with a UV-resistant coating to make it suitable for years of regular use. This coating can easily be topped up, making the Aero Yurt a brilliant investment. As well as being highly weather-resistant and long-lasting, it's super breathable and creates a microclimate inside the tent that lighter fabrics struggle to replicate. You even get an included repair kit, so you can tell Robens have made this with longevity in mind.
How is it constructed? This is where the cool stuff starts. Most polycotton tents are a bit of a faff to set up. The Aero Yurt, though, is inflatable! Attach a pump, wait a minute or so and the tubes which overlap the roof will begin to erect the shelter. Quick, easy, hassle-free. The groundsheet simply zips in and keeps out insects, water and draughts.
What are its features? All of the guylines are highly adjustable to allow you to re-tension the Aero Yurt if it gets wet (cotton will expand when wet) and large rainproof vents give you plenty of ventilation without compromising weather-resistance. Large waterproof windows let in plenty of light and the high-sided design of the Aero Yurt means you won't have to be sitting on the floor to see out of them. The door features a breathable mosquito-proof mesh inner to give you some privacy during warmer months.
