What is the Lodge 2?
The Lodge 2 is a three-season tent designed for multi-day adventures in various conditions. It's built for two people and has a lightweight, packable construction that you could take hiking, backpacking, trekking or more general camping trips.
What is it made of?
Fly: The flysheet is made with HydroTex HD (high-density) RS (ripstop), a material exclusive to Robens. HydroTex HD RS comprises 75D PU-coated polyester with a 5,000mm hydrostatic head rating to keep you dry and protected in wet weather. This rating is reinforced with taped seams to provide complete waterproofness, reassuring you that there will be no cold drips on your head as you catch those all-important z's. It's lightweight yet strong enough to withstand regular use in mixed terrain or rugged environments. Plus, the fabric is fire-retardant and features UV inhibitors to provide maximum shelter in exposed environments.
Inner tent: Robens has used breathable 68D polyester to construct the inner tent; it provides substantial protection from creepy crawlies while maximising breathability to help reduce condensation overnight and encourage effective temperature regulation.
Inner Floor: Durable 75D polyester Taffeta provides ample protection underneath. It has a HH rating of 10000mm to provide reliability on damp ground without adding too much weight or bulk to the overall design.
Poles: The poles are made using alloy, which has been anodised to increase corrosion resistance and overall durability for keen campers to get the most out of this tent!
What are its features?
Twin porch areas give you plenty of space to store backpacks without having to take up space inside the tent; plus, both you and your camping partner get your own entry point, so you don't need to clamber over each other when moving around.
The Lodge 2 has a good internal height that allows you to sit comfortably inside.
The inner of the tent is free-standing for minimum faff. You can also easily adjust the top vents of the exterior from the inner tent if you're getting too warm inside.
Variable doors allow you to adapt the configuration of the tent and open just one panel or both according to the conditions. Luminous zip pulls make them easy to locate in the dark or in low visibility.
Last but not least, the main pegging points are adjustable and feature sturdy alloy buckles, which are robust and reliable to survive a storm or when it's simply blowing a hooley outside.
