What is the Puez 2P Tent?
The Puez 2P is a sophisticated two-person tent primarily designed for trekking and camping in various terrains. It provides ample room for two and packs down small without compromising functionality and features.
What is it made of?
Fly: The flysheet is made with 50D recycled polyester ripstop, which is lightweight and incredibly durable to withstand use in challenging terrain. This material has a silicone/PU coating for weather resistance, giving it a 3000mm HH rating to help keep you dry and protected in harsh conditions.
Floor: A 68D recycled polyester ripstop floor is, again, robust and light. It's coated with the same silicone/PU coating as the flysheet and with a 3000mm HH to ensure the tent's base doesn't leak or become sopping wet overnight.
Inner: Salewa has constructed the inner tent using 30D polyester ripstop to help keep the grams down without compromising protection.
Poles: Poles are made with aluminium to help keep the overall weight low whilst providing ample stability and strength to keep your home-away-from-home upright (as long as you set it up correctly, of course!).
Overall, the tent weighs just under 3kg. You can minimise this by stripping back unnecessary features like the inner to reduce the weight to around 2650g, or dividing the pack between your group so each carries a small amount. Keep in mind that if you purchase a protective footprint for your tent, which is often advised, this may add a few extra grams to your load.
What are the features?
Entry: There are two entrances to provide more access for small groups sharing the tent; this is super handy to ensure you don't have to keep scrambling over each other to get in and out, overall helping it feel less cramped, too!
Each entrance also has its own vestibule for extra storage and shelter, meaning you can keep wet and stinky boots out of your living area and have a nice porch to make breakfast in.
Space: As mentioned, this tent has enough room to accommodate three people. The area of the inner tent provides 3.15m² of space, which is plenty for two people.
Storage: The Puez comes with various storage and organisation options to help keep your space clean and tidy, including a decluttering bag, door storage pockets, interior pockets and even a gear loft for overhead storage!
Ventilation: A FreshVent system makes for easy, adequate ventilation, helping to prevent condensation from building up overnight, causing your home-away-from-home to feel damp or even cold when you wake up.
Guys, Attachments and Pegs: Four nylon guylines are included for pitching the tent, alongside ten aluminium Y-pegs and six poles, all of which are specially designed for intuitive pitching to create a quick and easy set-up.
Each anchor point is extendable, allowing you to adjust them to your liking. If your anchor points ever break under pressure (which is unlikely but never impossible), they are also replaceable, helping your tent last longer.
Optional extras: You can purchase the Puez 2P Footprint to help protect the base of your tent from sodden ground or jagged, rocky surfaces. We'd always recommend using a footprint when the option's available to increase the longevity of your tent and help prevent it from ripping.
This tent also comes with a handy repair set, so if such events occur, you'll be ready to patch it up in no time!
