What is the Voyager Lite Tent?
It's a lightweight, freestanding, stable two-person tent ideal for year-round wild camping, trekking and backpacking. This updated version of Terra Nova's iconic Voyager 2 tent boasts a lighter-weight design, revolutionary TriPlex™ fabric technology and superb eco-credentials.
What is it made from?
Fly: The flysheet uses Terra Nova's revolutionary TriPlex™ fabric for excellent water resistance, durability and resistance to stretch when wet. TriPlex™ is a triple ripstop polyester and nylon weave fabric which is lightweight, stable and highly durable. The fabric is made from recycled materials sourced from post-consumer plastic bottles and PFC-free fibres. It's also solution-dyed to further add to this material's excellent eco-credentials.
The material is fully encased with a high-pressure silicone coating on both sides for excellent water resistance, which eliminates the need for traditional water-repellant treatments that can contain harmful forever chemicals. This clever silicone coating delivers a reliable hydrostatic head rating of 3,000mm to ensure you stay nice and dry in your tent when the weather’s not playing ball.
Inner: The tent's inner is created from a 20D ripstop fabric made from recycled nylon. This material is lightweight and highly durable. It helps keep the tent's overall weight and pack size bulk down without compromising on performance.
Floor: The tent's base uses the same recycled nylon 20D ripstop fabric as the inner tent, except this section is enhanced with a silicone/ PU coating for excellent water resistance to help prevent water ingress inside the tent. This material boasts a hydrostatic head rating of 5,000 mm, making it more than adequate for camping in various weather conditions.
Poles: DAC NFL tent poles keep this fantastic tent stable and upright. They're incredibly strong and are made of lightweight aluminium to ensure they don't add to much weight your trekking pack.
What are its features?
Entry: The tent features a single entry point that can be neatly rolled away for easy access in an out of the tent. The inner tent features a solid door with a full midge-proof mesh panel behind it for flexible ventilation options depending on the climate and weather conditions.
Space: This spacious tent has room for two people to sleep comfortably and a single vestibule to store their backpacks and gear. The sleeping compartment is tapered to help keep weight and pack size to a minimum, whilst a generous head height of 100cm at its peak provides space for relaxing and cooking in the evenings.
Guys, Attachments & Pegs: The Voyager Lite uses reflective Dyneema® guylines to increase visibility and prevent literal night-time trips.
A combination of Y-shaped Terra Firma Mini pegs and V-shaped alloy pegs keeps the tent firmly planted to the floor and offers various pitching options on different terrain.
