What is the Vardag Pile Jacket?
It's a durable fleece jacket designed for everyday life and outdoor lifestyles. Based on Fjallraven's well-loved Vardag Pile Fleece, it has the warmth and cosiness needed for wintry errands with added reinforcement to last years of wear.
What is it made of?
The Vardag Pile Jacket is made with low-shedding microfibre fleece constructed from 100% recycled polyester, with added G1000® Eco reinforcements.
Overall, it feels fairly heavy compared to other fleeces in the range but provides exceptional warmth for everyday outdoor life and harsh winters. This fleece is less of a technical fleece and more of a relaxed, insulative piece - so if you're seeking a jacket that prioritises warmth and comfort, this could be the one for you.
This recycled polyester is mainly made of recycled post-consumer PET bottles and sometimes unusable fabric offcuts and trims from factories, helping reduce air, water and soil contamination and waste that would otherwise be going to landfill.
As mentioned, reinforcements are made with G1000® Eco, one of Fjallraven's signature materials, which uses a robust blend of 65% recycled polyester and 35% cotton. These reinforcements are placed in high-wear areas, including the elbows, underside of forearms, chest, collar and pocket welts, to increase the jacket's longevity.
G1000® materials can be adapted to different personal preferences or climatic conditions using Greenland Wax. The wax allows you to customise the fabric's properties, such as wind and water resistance and breathability.

Elastic bindings at the cuffs and on the hem give it a tidy finish and provide ample flexibility for enhanced freedom of movement.
