What is the Sirocco Lite Hoodie?
It's the ultimate versatile midlayer designed to provide the ideal amount of active insulation to manage your personal microclimate, whatever the adventure. Warm, breathable and protective, it's ideal to be used as a light outer layer in mild climates or a cosy midlayer in cooler conditions.
What is it made from?
The Sirocco Lite Hoodie is constructed from a combination of Featherlite Air stretch Ripstop, Dynamic Insulation, and Thermo Stretch Lite, to deliver the optimum balance of warmth, freedom of movement, and performance.
Montane has used Featherlite Air stretch Ripstop across the majority of the hoodie, which is made from 20D recycled nylon yarns. This soft, lightweight material offers high levels of wind resistance and exceptional breathability to deliver outstanding comfort and uncompromised performance. The material is finished with a PFC-free DWR (durable water repellent) coating to encourage light rain to bead off the fabric instead of soaking in, without using harmful forever chemicals that damage the environment and our ecosystems. However, please note this does not make the hoodie waterproof.
For warmth, Montane have used their own Dynamic synthetic insulation, made from 100% recycled polyester. This fantastic active insulation offers excellent thermal performance in both wet and dry conditions, making it ideal for exploring in unpredictable weather. It also boasts a four-way stretch, allowing it to move with you throughout your adventure.
Thermo Stretch Lite fleece panels are used down the sides of the body and under the arms to reduce bulk and provide excellent moisture management. They also help enhance the hoodie’s freedom of movement, making it ideal for various outdoor activities and dynamic movements. This Thermo Stretch Lite fleece is made from a soft and robust blend of recycled polyester, nylon and elastane.

The Sirocco Lite Hoodie features body-mapped insulation to the torso for optimal warmth, whilst fleece panels down the sides and under the arms provide excellent moisture management and freedom of movement for various outdoor activities.
A low-profile elasticated hood sits close to the head for optimal thermal protection in cold, windy climates. The hoodie is fastened with a lightweight YKK front zipper to help keep weight and packsize to a minimum.
For storage, there are two YKK zipped hand pockets for keeping trail snacks, energy gels and a mobile phone close to hand, yet secure enough that you don't have to worry about them slipping out somewhere along the trail.
